[In tr'Idrans Quarters]
Tasrek always oversimplified things in his own mind. He
figured the Political Officer would be giving him the once
over and then this whole disloyalty thing would be done.
Wrong. He was just the tip of the iceberg. The rest of the
crew lay beyond.
Nerik> I understand your parents were with the reunification
effort?
Idran> ::somewhat surprised by this question:: Yes.
Nerik> ::sensing his surprise:: I have my sources. That is
an extragovernment organization , is it not?
Idran> I suppose so. I don't see how that is a factor.
Right now *we* are an extragovernment organization are we
not?
Nerik> ::moving to the next question:: What is your
relationship with the Tal 'Shiar?
Idran> There is no relationship.
Nerik> ::looking into his ISD:: And what of Agent t'Farra?
Idran>::shaking his head:: Who is agent t'Farra?
Nerik> I usually ask the questions, but I will make an
exception. I have several witnesses that say you had drinks
with her and talked all night long while we were in the
station. The witnesses are willing to testify.
Tasrek swallowed a large gulp of tea so hard that it hurt.
That was who she was. He thought it strange for his chance
meeting. Now he had her name, but was she interested in him
or just some information. Either way he couldn't chance
being caught up with someone from the Empire....not at a
crossroads like this.
Idran> ::not losing his composure:: She was just some
women I had drinks with and talked to...about ch'Havran.
Her parents lived there as well as mine.
Nerik>::putting his ISD into his tunic:: Very well. I think
we are done here for now. I might be needing you again in a
couple of days.
Idran> I am here at your leisure. ::nodding::
With that, Nerik stands and exits his domicile seemingly in
one motion. Tasrek sits back in his chair. Against his own
better judgement he begins to research this t'Farra woman.
Half out of his own lust for truth. The other half...well
had nothing to do with truth.
[Just outside the oira]
tr`Kandeen finished the short tour of the Kalen. Quite a compact ship, he
thought. None the less, it was very efficient in its design and the
erie`Riov just had to get used to the fact that Rihannsu ships were simply
more efficient..but that is comparing to a Galaxy Class. He might not be so
ascertain of Rihannsu starship design being so 'great' if he had a chance to
see other ships. But he did miss seeing the kind of corridors which was the
trend on board Starfleet ships.
The doors slided open and both officers entered the oira. tr`Kandeen gave a
nod to tr`Nerik as he stepped up to the throne while the political officer
stood by his console. A science officer stepped up and handed an ISD to the
erie`Riov as the latter sat down.
"tr`Nerik, what's the status on the anomaly?"
Nerik looked up. "We are still in the progress of finding out Rekkhai. We
have acquired the assistance of 2 other Ra`Kalens within our wing to assist
and verifying the readouts. But at this range, it will be slow".
There was a short pause, then, "Have the TSW break up into 3 separate wings.
Assign two other nearest Ra'Kalens to escort us. I want a closer look"
"Ie, Rekkhai"
Kandeen settled the ISD down next to him and rubbed his chin. It had been a
while since his last encounter with a science anomaly. His previous
assignment on board the Bismarck had been the Chief of Science. He had also
been the Deputy Chairperson of the Science Council but due to his sudden
change of taste in super-powers of the Quadrant, he had no choice but to
step down. Now, there was something out there awaiting to be discovered...
