SRR Ra`KalenChapter Eleven: Enter Ragarok
[Oria]

tr'Ragarok> Hmm... interesting... yes...
tr'Raith> Farien, I have a little job for you...
tr'Ragarok> ::snaps to attention, attempts a salute, but just manages to hit himself in the jaw:: Umm, yes, sir?
tr'Raith> ::moving in closer:: If I happened to have the command codes to that cloaked ship out there, could you get into it's central computer core?
tr'Ragarok> Why, yes, child's play to alter the com systems and project signals into the computer core, given the proper command codes. But how do you know what ship that is and what's it's codes are? tr'Raith> ::laughs maniacally:: Oh, I have my ways. That's not important right now. What is important is that you can do it. If you had access to it's central computer core, what systems would we have control of?
tr'Ragarok> Well, with the command codes and a little bit of subspace transponder masking ingenuity ::cracks knuckles::, we could have access to all primary systems, including tactical, navigation, life support...
tr'Raith> Excellent... do you think we could "flush" the atmosphere out of the ship at an appropriate time?
tr'Ragarok> I suppose... although it might do undue damage upon the ships interior and possibly systems... might be messier than it's worth. AHA! But, given the access we will have, it would be a simple matter to have the oxygen recyclers "happen" to inject the wrong gas throughout the entire ship, if you know what I mean! ::starts to nudge tr'Raith with his elbow, but stops short and straightens up:: Uh... sir.
tr'Raith> Yes, I believe that will work. It would also give us free range on the ship, and allow us to take one of their shuttlecraft, which, for all intents and purposes, would look as though it was their people launching one of their shuttlecraft to the surface, correct?
tr'Ragarok> Yes, I suppose it would. Hey! It would also give me the opportunity to look around the other ship for new toys... that is, with your permission, sir.
tr'Raith> If by "Toys" you mean new technology, yes, of course. As long as you report all your findings!
tr'Ragarok> Umm, why, of course!
tr'Raith> Yes, right. Here's the command codes ::types into the Science console:: Get to work. ::walks off::
tr'Ragarok> Yes sir! ::cracks his knuckles, gets a crooked grin, wiggles his fingers, and begins to type.:: Ah, simple. Even a Federation captain could have done it! ::laughs at his own joke that no one else heard:: Now, let's mask the transmissions to make it appear like routine bridge accesses, cover my tracks appropriately, divert subspacial transponder codes... yes, hmm ::mumbles incoherently:: Just like the record keepers back home, no security at all. One simple subspace bend and it's all yours. No security at all. AHA! ::yelling:: Got it, sir! I've programmed the macros, so tell me when you're ready! ::begins talking to self again:: Maybe next time I'll get a challenge. Yes, it's ever so easy to overcome everything with simple scientific knowledge these days. What's the universe coming to? I should write another book...
