SRR Morrahe`VnuChapter Sixty-Five: Knocking back a Few
[Station]

In another quiet bar on the Supply Station, Vyynd tr`Khaine and Aeris t`Rharin sat together at a far table, quietly talking together. Aeris passes the rekkhai his glass of ale, as the waitress set another down in front of her. Vyynd, smiling at Aeris, accepts the glass with a quiet "Hann`yyo."

After the server left them alone, Aeris returns Vyynd's smile with one of her own. "Au'rh lucky. I have to report back to the ship soon. Least au have the next day off remaining."

Leaning back in the chair, Vyynd sips his drink, then snickers at her remark, "Ie. Do na worry. I'll come see au some time durring the next day." he grins happily, "Though trust me, I will be resting too."

Areis covers a smile at that as she sips her own drink. "Well, I would like au to visit....but if au came to the dheno office, I know au, au would end up working."

Vyynd laughs rather loudly at that, "Ie! Au'rh probably right. But then I could get some work out of the way and we could meet later, of course." he playfully sticks his tongue out at her.

Aeris laughs a bit at that, "We'll meet later anyhow." she returned almost slyly, "Au just stay away from ninte office tomorrow. We can handle things there."

"Hann`yyo." he smiles back, "I shall try to keep my distance from any work possible..." Vyynd pauses a moment as he glances through the bottom of his glass. He had caught sight of Rylan entering the bar out of the corner of his eye. Ry looked mad as hell, sporting a fading mark on the side of his face. Vyynd watches a moment as Ry heads over to the bar and grumbles an order to the barkeep for what Vyynd was sure was Rhennish. "Oh, joy. Let's hope I don't have to get to work now." Vyynd laughs to himself.

"What?" Aeris asks confused, as she sets the glass down on the table. With a shake of her head, she questioned again, "Why? Au'rh on leave...."

Redirecting his attention to Aeris, he smiles in dismiss of his comment, "Oh, sorry. Merely a joke to myself about the rekkhai over there...."

Seeing his eyes shift ever so slightly, Aeris turns her head to look in the direction he had cast a glance and spies the RS. "Ah. I thought....I heard something about a medical order against that." she nods her head towards the bar.

Vyynd laughs some more at that, "Ie. Probably why he's here, and na on the Wildstrike...."

"Ie..." she nods again in agreement of that, then turns towards Vyynd again, "He's na a...well, a trouble-maker kind of drinker, is he?"

Vyynd sits forward again, and leans on the table between them, "Na. He's a good man. He just has the Daise Medical Officer up his ahz about drinking..."

Aeris smiles, her manner slightly more relaxed then a moment ago, "Au know him well enough then." she nods, reasurred that she wouldn't have to go arrest the rekkhai for disorderly conduct anytime soon.

"Though..." Vyynd muses, "did au hear the rumor that the Daise Medical Officer was himself drunk a few nights ago...or last night...I can't remember. I've been sleeping too much lately." he glances back over to Rylan in time to see the erie`Arrain slam the empty down then order another as he finally claimed a seat at the bar furthest from the door; positioning himself so he could keep a look out for any 'informants' that would tell on him.

Aeris stiffles a giggle at that, "Ie. I think the whole ship heard that io. Something about the rekkhai sleeping with a girl named Emni..."

Vyynd raises a brow a bit at that, "Ie, something like that. Though I doubt it to be true..."

Aeris shrugs in return, "Never having met either the rekkhai or this Emni, I wouldn't know." she pauses, trying to cover the grin before it could appear, "But the conversations over the open channel kept the department amused that night."

Vyynd looks at his chrono as she speaks, "Ah, Aeris," he pulls her attention back to him, "I hate to see au go, but au'rh needed on duty in a bit." he smiles calmly, "Just want au to have time to prepare and such..."

Looking to her own chrono she nods, "Elements! Au'rh right..." she smiles back to him as she stands away from the table. "Later then, rekkhai." she bows her head slightly as she turns to head out. Vyynd winks and waves, watching her go in the best of ways.

Spying Rylan order a third drink, Vyynd slides out of his seat and sneaks up behind tr`Tuhmek at the bar. The handprint on Rylan's face had disappeared entirely by this time, and Rylan accepts the third glass from the barkeep with a slight smile. As he brings the glass to his lips, Vyynd leans over his shoulder, casually propping his elbow on the back of Ry's shoulders. Glaring mischieviously at Rylan he asks, "Oh, now...what would the boyscout say about this?"

Startled enough to pause and look up at Vyynd, Rylan smirks without much humor, "Who the hell cares?"

That puzzled Vyynd. "Now, why would he say that?" he smiles, walking in front of Rylan to take a seat near him at the corner of the bar so the two could face each other.

Ry grins at the question, and answers with a chuckle, "Well, na. That's na what he'd say. That's what I say to that question." he raises the glass in a mock salute, then downs half the liquid it contained. In an effort to change the subject, he asks suddenly, "Enjoying ninte leave, Vyynd?"

"Hmm, good then." Vyynd orders himself a glass of Rhennish as well, "So, I can see au'rh ninte usual happy self." he laughs, then nods at the question of how his leave was going, "Ie. Healing quite well, hann`yyo." he answers, rubbing his shoulder slightly.

Rylan smirks again, this time with humor behind his eyes, "Ie. I'm my usual happy self now." he sets the empty on the counter and nods his head toward the bartender.

As the barkeep nods in reply to Rylan and pours him another, Vyynd tosses out, "I'm sure his children," he indicates the bartender as he takes a drink himself, "Will enjoy the education au'rh paying for." he puts his own glass to his lips, drinking at a slightly slower pace then Rylan.

Looking back to Vyynd at the not so subtle, 'au shouldn't drink' speech as the barkeep sets another in front of him, he sarcastically tosses back, "As long as they get educated. Just doing my part for the betterment of the People." he tries once more to change subjects again, "So, how's ninte department doing in ninte absence?"

"Actually..." Vyynd looks down at Rylan, "I was offering to buy au a few." he winks conspicuously, "That old bat D`Tarik will probably ask if au have been drinking...na? Why na let me pay and tell the keep to cover it up..." he grins once more.

Rylan returns that grin with one of his own. "Ie. Sly as always, Vyynd." he chuckles at that, "I'll pass those creds off to au then."

"Hann'yyo." Vyynd nods, "It helps to know ways around 'the man'....even if that man isn't much of io." he laughs at his own joke, then brushes a hand back through his hair. "The department is fine, I assume. They're supposed to contact me at any disturbance. As far as I'm concerned, this is an indefinite leave. I'll come back if needed."

Rylan nods at that, "Fair enough. Long as ninte Striker teams get trained." he smirks, "Of course, as soon as we pull out of here, au'rh back on duty." he shrugs apologetically.

Vyynd nods, already having realized this. "On my previous note..." he smiles, "If au ever need immediate help...say with our ship being cloaked as a Klingon vessel and such...." he looks down at Rylan yet again.

Rylan grins, remembering the incident, "Eh, I did all right. Au don't know Klingon anyway." he shrugs and takes a drink from his glass. "The problem was solved. But I'll keep au in mind if it ever happens again." he smirks. Raising a brow slightly, Vyynd rambles off the harsh sounding Klingon language, and smirks to see the shocked look on Rylan's face. "What the hell did au just say?" Rylan asks with a slight ammused smile.

"'Ninte father mated with a weakly human.'" Vyynd grinned to hear Rylan laugh at that.

"A proper Klingon insult if ever there was io." Ry agreed, taking another sip of his drink.

"Ah, the report of the Striker team's latest training should be on ninte desk when au return." Vyynd shrugs, bringing them back to Rylan's previous statement, "The holodeck saw fit to boost the level of adventure a bit." he replaces a hand to his shoulder nastalgically.

"What kind of little adventure did the holodeck put au through? Did au have rageing rharit-a, as well?" Rylan laughs at that.

"Na. Na-thing quite so horrifying..." Vyynd rubs his chin in recollection, "Let's see...first we were doing our normal training, and..hrm...next I remember walking in and out of the same holodeck, through the same door several times." he cringes, "Then, hmm...we ended up in io of D`Tarik's old 80's programs I heard of -- though now I've started modifying it into a usual training program. Something with super advanced aliens in a jungle scene." he paused, noting Ry's aproving nod at that last, "Then, hrm, well...the rest was a practical nightmare I'd rather na revisit..." he finishes his drink and gets another, drowing out the recurring images of Rylan with a sword through his gut.

Rylan nods again, with a slight raise of his brow, "Ie. I ran into a few such programs. The worst... the Khensia!" he laughs at that, then finishes his drink as he glances to his chrono. "Hnaev! I have to get back. I promised Katara I'd bring her to the Station." he grins slyly at Vyynd, passing him the creds necessary for their drinks and the bribe for the barkeep under the edge of the counter. "Hann'yyo, Vyynd. Take it easy on ninte leave." he smiles again as he stands to head out.

Vyynd returns Ry's smile as he takes the creds, "Au too. Hann`yyo for the talk. Jolan`tru, Rylan."

Ry waves to him over his shoulder, then disappears out the doors.
