SRR Morrahe`VnuChapter One Hundred - Forty-One:
Elemental Assistance
[240103.24 Ancient ch`Rihan]

Wind rips around the Agent's body, his tattered cloak flapping about him furiously trying to leave him defenseless....Looking about, his hair waves in front of his eyes, and he spots the ominous trail bellowing forth from the same old spot. He begins his descent down the hill, toward the fire ground, keeping his friend beneath his cape, safe from the fierce winds that tried to tear the land apart.... tr'Monk sits calmly by his fire, tending to it quietly with a stick.

As Vyynd nears, the smoke begins to blow in the opposite direction, diffusing amongst the rampant strands of air blowing passed it....he approaches the priest, holding the young girl in his arms, asleep. tr'Monk stops tending the fire for a second but remains silent, "Ie, my son?"

tr'Khaine calls, along the wind, instead of through it, "Jolan'tru......" adjusting the cloak wrapped around his face, up to his eyes, he continues, "....I have something to ask of au....." Feeling intruded, Vyynd's mind recesses. Itching, he hides his Tal'Shiar affirmations, the mission, and specifics of the occurrences of late, deep behind any barriers he could seem to form, "conversation out lasted its usefulness so much?"

The Priest grins slightly, "I see au are learning quickly. Very well, what what au have of me?" The agent approaches him a few steps more, "....her mind is frozen, traumatized...." He presents the girl out from under his cloak, "and I warn au not to read it....lest au not mind some very traumatizing scenes of death....." Vyynd kneels before the priest, placing the girl between them both on a soft part of the ground, "I wish to save her life....and clear her memories of this terror....but I can na do it alone....or at least without guidance"

tr'Monk hops up from his log, "Very well. If au can beat me in combat, I will save the girl." He grins, "I have always wanted to fight a 'Vhortai'"

Vyynd looks up, blank eyed at the priest, "feeling particularly confrontational?" He begins to delve into the old man's mind, sensing for prowess, and motivation. However, the old man makes his first move while the Agent is focusing on his mind, coming in for a strike into Vynnd's stomach. Sliding to his left, narrowly avoiding the punch, tr'Khaine tries to maintain his concentration outside of the fight, for the moment.

The far more experienced telepath, tr'Monk easily repulses the mind read and moves around for a spin kick, smacking Vyynd in the jaw. Falling to the ground, his mind fleeing hastily back to his own head, Vyynd growls in a slight bit of pain, rubbing his jaw. The priest glances down at the fallen agent, and concentrates a second, fire building around his right hand.

Pushing towards the priest, the agent plants a foot into his stomach, and another flying around smacking the back of the man's knees. Concentration disrupted, the fire dissipates as the old man falls to the ground, but he manages to quickly roll over. Vyynd, finishing his cartwheel-esque kicking, is interrupted. While Vynnd is still in mid-move, the old man makes a sudden furious mental assault, bombarding his mind and senses with all sorts of images and impressions. Cringing, Vyynd looses his landing, and slides halfway to the ground, holding his temple with one hand and himself up by the other. The sky darkens around the two, at first all of the clouds above them begin to stretch, dispersing from the area, then the wind increases to shredding speeds around the fight, and a harsh sleet is felt beginning. The old man hops to a standing position, and the mental barrage continues, but his face cringes with intense concentration. "augh!" Vyynd braces himself, getting to his feet painfully, his Tal'Shiar side begins to reign. Coping more and more with the impressions, Vyynd falls to his hands and knees, attempting to force a temporary feedback of his own experiences on the priest. The retreating clouds suddenly start spiraling in, darkening, and growing sharp and strained in the sky. A spiral of ominous cloud cover forms above the battle ground as the sleet turns to a heavier rain. Suddenly, an energy begins building in the sky, and a small spark forms, which develops into a full spread streak of lightning, crawling across the sky in the near distance. With the final mental feedback push, his connection is cut and tr'Monk stumbles backwards, "Alright, alright. Au've won, boy"

Vyynd rolls onto his hands, and springs back to his feet, still in a fighting stance, "ie?" The clouds over head disperse a bit, the winds become less harsh, and the sprinkling rain ceases.

tr'Monk grins, "Well done. I will heal ninte girl, but then au must never seek me out again."

The agent breathes heavily, walking more calmly toward the other man, "ie...understood......well done ninte-self....." He bows a bit, and smiles, his cape now torn partially down to his shoulders.

The priest nods and walks over to the girl's limp form, followed quietly by Vyynd, who stands opposite of the girl. tr'Monk hovers his hands above the body, "O Elements, I beseech au to bring ninte cleansing water over this child." It begins to rain softly, and tr'Khaine sits, crossing his legs, looking at the spectacle, eagerly concentrating on helping the girl as well. There is a soft glow as a thin flow of water falling out of the priest's hands washes over the form, washing away dirt and any remaining wounds.

The flow stops, as the priest speaks slowly, "Now, au will have to remove the memories. Just feel out her mind, and look for the disturbance..." Vyynd nods solemnly, placing his hands over the girl's head, he begins to scan her mind. Closing his eyes, tr'Monk guides the process, "Take it slowly, memory alteration is na an easy task. I will guide, just concentrate on the goal" Finding the pervading memory of the death scene, Vyynd focuses on, first, lessening the pain of the memory...blurring specifics.... deteriorating the initial surprise of it. Continuing on, with the guidance of tr'Monk, he begins to completely alter that sole event, and the events following.....to that of a child's unremembered, unknown dreams, faint, unclear, and unaffecting.

Vyynd enters a deeper state of consciousness, beginning to completely erase the painful event from the little rihan's memory. He strains, but after several, painfully harsh minutes, the girl's memory become nothing more then sleep.

tr'Monk exhales and takes a step back, "Ie, good job" The younger Rihan raises his eyes slowly, returning to his normal, sentient state of being, "hann'yyu....for everything......"

Shaking his head, the older replies, "Na, hann'yyu, I am glad to have had a place in the grand scheme. However, au must never contact me again. I can na affect ninte path anymore. Before I depart, though, there are some things au must know..." "ie?" Vyynd leans forward, exhausted. He wraps his arms around the girl and holds her near him, comforting her disturbed slumber.

"Tell ninte leader that the shadow woman has a place here, she has been here before and needs to take her place. Do na retrieve her before her time is due." The priest begins, as Vyynd's mind shoots off uncontrolled, 'Aemhig......fvadt nviahr (woman)' Then he replies, "understood....."

"And au, along with ninte friends, will io day be involved with the Vhortai. At first when I met au thought au were io, but I was wrong... but their touch is upon au all. Be ready... and it is important au continue with ninte elementa training" he continues.

"ie....understood.....what more?" the agent listens intently.

"tr'Tahn cheats at cards. Jolan'tru." And the older man turns and begins to run off.

Smiling, Vyynd calls to his back, "Hann'yyu, friend.....Jolan'tru."

Replacing his cape around his face, tr'Khaine makes his way back to the camp, with the girl still asleep in his arms, as the wind once more wraps around them as it streaks across the plains.
