SRR Morrahe`VnuChapter One Hundred - Eleven:
Vyynd Shares with Aeris
[Wildstrike....the Bar....]

Ry climbs back up the ladder to sneak back into the ship, like a kid who stayed out past curfew and didn't want to get caught coming home late. From behind him on the ladder, DT calls up, "Why are au going so slow?"

"I'm na going slow!" Rylan calls back, "What are au hyped up on, anyway?" he finishes, entering the bar through the non-existent viewport window.

"Na-thing that I know of..." DT answers, "I just want to get back in the ship and check on Aehmig. She was pretty badly hurt. I just want to make sure she's still stable...." he climbs through the window. Rylan waits for DT to clear the window, then looks back down at Vyynd who's halfway down the ladder still. tr`Khaine climbs, half-sentiently, to the top at an extremely slow pace, gazing forward in a disturbed manner. Ry nods absently at D`Tarik's explanation, then directs out at Vyynd, "And au? Au have been awfully quiet.."

"Okay..I'm going to go check now..." DT starts his trek to the medlab.

Shrugging at Vyynd's continued silence, Ry turns away from the viewport window, figuring he'd tag along with DT for now. As the pair of boys head out of the bar, Vyynd finally reaches the top and rolls into the bar, then looks around for a bit. Seeing Katara doing the last of the clean up in the bar, straightening tables and whatnot, Vyynd steps over and sits at the counter. Saying in a solid, yet loud tone, he asks, "Can I help myself and just pay au afterwards?"

Katara looks over then shrugs, "I suppose so..."

"Hann`yyu..." Vyynd grabs a bottle, stares at it for several seconds, then puts it back. "Never mind...na what I need at the moment." leaves a normal tip on the bar nonetheless, and heads out.

Watching the Tal`Shiar agent leave, Katara turns her attention to the only other patron in the bar at the moment. A young officer sitting at one of the tables, flipping through the pages of a tattered old book, seemingly unaware of anything else around him. "And au?" she asks him, "Any thing I can get for au?" Pulling himself away from the book a moment, tr`Hunrok asks, "Hmm? Ah, na. Na-thing right now, hann`yyo anyway."

Katara nods, then asks curiously as she sets a chair to rights again, "What's the book au`rh reading, if I can ask?"

tr`Hunrok looks up from his reading again, "Oh this? It's just a book detailing the history of an alternate reality where Tribbles overtook the galaxy. It's kind of scary."

Fixing the Farien with an odd look as his explanation confused her, Katara asks, "Um...how does io come to have a history book of an...alternate universe, did au say?"

tr`Hunrok smiles, "It's na an alternative universe per say. It's more like a future that never came to be. And as to how I got it? Let's just say... that's my little secret." he winks at her.

Katara returns his smile with her own uncertain one. "Ah...alright...." she heads back over to the bar to restock the shelves, then offers as conversation, 'I remember seeing au before. What is ninte post on the ship?"

tr`Hunrok closes his book and leans forward a bit on his chair, "Temporal Historian and Engineer at your service."

Katara bows her head slightly, "Pleased to meet au. Katara t`Tei..." she motions around the chaotic bar, "Bar owner....."

"It's a pleasure to meet au as well, my name is Tacrun tr'Hunrok." he paused to look around the bar, "So, this is ninte-a? Uhh... Nice place. Been running it long?"

"Well...it usually looks much better then this..." Katara offers as an apology, sighing a bit as she looks at all the damage done. "And na, I only just....inherited ownership."

Curious by that, he asks "Inherited ownership?"

Not wanting to go into it, the barmaid looks away, "Ie...from my uncle. He died and left ownership to me."

Tacrun frowned a bit at that. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." he looks around the surrounding area for something to change the subject.

Katara shakes her head and smiles, "Don't be...." then adds in a mumble to herself, "I'm na sorry in the least...." Tacrun smiles again, then pauses trying to think of something else to say.

[Security Office....]

Vyynd apparitionally walks into the security station, and into his office, where Aeris is spinning around in his chair. Aeris suddenly stops, then quickly stands and straightens her uniform jacket before giving the Daise`Dehno a slight nod. "Rekkhai..."

Walking over to the locker, Vyynd first hangs up his coat, then puts his katana across his desk and leans on it casually. "Please, continue..."

Aeris first looks to his chair, then back at Vyynd. "If au say so...." she retakes his seat and hesitates a moment, but as Vyynd seemed to be waiting for her to do it, she spins around in the chair once more. Vyynd laughs for a moment, then looks through what little bit Aeris has done. "I'm sorry...I had to return to speak with some-io. He said many things which intrigued me."

"Speak with who?" Aeris stopped spinning in the chair to pick up an isd. "What did the some-io say?"

Noticing a report on Aemhig being signed into the medlab, Vyynd stands suddenly and snaps her back to her duties with, "So, how was the ship in my absence?"

Aeris shrugs slightly, "Repairs are going slow....t`Shibae is in the Medlab... other than that... everything's going as well as it can be."

"So I saw..." he walks around his desk, "Well, I should check in on t`Shibae...anything else?" he nods, grabbing his katana from his desk.

Aeris gives him a curious glance for a moment before answering, "Na. Na that the reports have stated anyway." she pauses, then pries a little more information out of him. "So, who did au need to speak to?"

"A Priest." he answers cryptically, heading to the door, "He was well learned, and claimed he felt something in me....the Elements themselves, he later claimed. Can au watch security for a bit longer?" he smiled at her, growing a bit happier now.

Aeris nods, glancing around the room, "I can take care of things here for now." she pauses a moment, then asks of the issue he seemed to be avoiding, "The Elements themselves? What does that mean?"

Vyynd steps back up to his desk, and reactivates his personal computer. Opening several case studies, he motions towards the screen, "Here, read those when au don't feel like spinning..." he smiles, and brushes a hand through her hair. "Hann`yyu....sorry for being so weird lately..." Vyynd almost leans forward, but catches himself in a fall, and stands back up. Aeris, who had looked expectantly hopeful when Vyynd first leaned forward, frowned and turn her attention back to the computer screen before her to read the displayed files.

tr`Khaine paces inside his office, closing his door in the process, then paces back behind his chair again. Leaning over it with his arms around Aeris, he points towards the screen, "I, actually, had pulled these out during our trip...I don't really know why, just random interest I suppose... but now they come into more interest....about the Elementa and such...." he says in quiet-almost-excitement.

Aeries looks to the screen then at Vyynd's face, "Elementa? Why are they suddenly of interest?"

Vyynd shrugs slightly, "Who....knows...." he suddenly leans in and kisses her. Aeris, surprised by this, at first doesn't move, then slowly puts her arms around him. Vyynd's thoughts are interrupted by a slight voice inside his head, the voice of Aeris, {{Now this is a pleasant change from the old weird security chief....}}

Leaning back after the kiss, Vyynd straightens and grabs his trench-coat again, draping it over his arm and scratching his head with the other hand. "I'm sorry, I'll be back later..." he winks and heads out, "I've heard about the locals that are looking for us and need to tell the Leih..." He pauses to throw a wink her way, then heads out of the room, "Jolan`tru!"

Aeris, still looking stunned from the sudden shift in Vyynd's attitudes, asks of his retreating figure, "Well...what brought that on?" she pauses then smiles, looking back to the computer screen, "That should happen more often..."

Out in the corridor, Vyynd begins heading towards medlab, putting his coat on in the middle of the hallway, he stops at an intersection of the corridors...feeling something pulling him in both directions. Towards medlab was his directive and logic... and the other direction, no where specific, was ambition. Torn by conflict, he randomly questions, "Computer, what is the location of tr`Tuhmek and tr`Rhagarokk?"

Sounding very slow-acting, the computer responds with, "tr`Tuhmek and tr`Rhagarokk are in the bar...."

"Hann`yyu...." tr`Khaine says almost absently to the computer, as he heads towards his ambitions, and coincidentally to the bar....
