SRR Morrahe`VnuChapter One Hundred:
Rhagarokk and Vyynd to the Rescue
[Morrhae`vnu]

Finally freeing herself from the bar, Katara bursts onto the oira. Breathing heavily, she gasps out, "Rekkhai!" Looking around rather dumbfounded, only seeing the skeleton crew around, she steps forward a bit. Rhagarokk, hearing Katara's yipe, answers from under a panel as he tries to fuse some wires together, "Ie?"

Still trying to catch her breath, Katara looks over some wrecked consoles at the leih's feet, "Rylan and D'Tarik have fallen overboard!"

Rhagarokk shakes his head and slides out from under the panel, "Overboard? Are they ok?"

Saluting briefly as the Leih rose, Katara answers "Well, they're unharmed, but can na get back in the ship..."

Grimacing mildly, Rhagarokk calls into his ip, "Rhagarokk to Vyynd."

Vyynd had been shuffling about the Wildstrike, cursing and helping the remaining crew. Halting his ascent up a ladder, his voice echoes down the shaft, "ie, rekkhai?"

"How are things going?" tr'Rhagarokk paces the oira a bit. Smiling ever so slightly at hearing the sound of Vyynd dropping one something down the tunnel, then responding "fvadt." Vyynd shuffles around a bit, "fair, though I need to get something back now....." Sliding down the ladder, he exclaims "Success!! Anyway, I've covered most of the ship with the other's.... nearly all crew except those evac'd are accounted for....except, well....Rylan and D'Tarik have gone missing....."

Rhagarokk replies with an annoyed tone, "Well, apparently, Rylan and D'Tarik have gone and fallen out of the ship and can't get back up. Care to help rescue them?"

Sighing, tr'Khaine adds, "that explains a lot.....are they in immediate danger?"

The Leih kneels to look back at what he was doing absently, "They're wandering around outside, by themselves. Does that count?"

The agent prods further into the situation, "Ie....do we have an exact location on them at this moment? or should I find them the old fashioned way?"

Katara opens a line to Vyynd and explains where the boys fell out, adding "And tell Rylan na to observe the natives too closely."

Rhagarokk grins as an idea crosses his mind, "Tell ya what, Vynnd, meet me there... I'd like to do a little exploring outside myself. Leave ninte disruptor, melee weapons only."

Grumbling, "Ie rekkhai...." Vyynd starts up the ladder for that part of the ship.

Rhagarokk slides out from under the panel once more, speaking to Katara who wondered the oira in a jittery fashion, "Hey, Katara... I'm sure a lot of the crew could use a good drink right now. Salvage what you can and help the crew with what they need... and put it on my tab." Then heads off of the oira.

tr'Khaine reaches the top of the ladder and pops out of a nearby tunnel, close to the exit port, "Jolan'tru rekkhai!"

Looking out of the port, Rhagarokk ponders, "Hrm, knowing them, one of them probably leaned against it thinking it was still there." takes a glance around the area, "And they decided to wander around in the past... wonderful..."

Vyynd interjects the thought stream with a sarcastic "Does any of this actually *surprise* au?" laughs for a moment, "So, shall I leave my disruptors here, or can I just keep them in my pack, just incase?" Looks wide-eyed and hopeful like a child.

Rhagarokk, responding to the first part with a grin, "Na really." Vyynd's hope reaches him, "and I'd prefer you'd leave them here. I'd really na like powerful weapons being accidentally left in the past." The leih's grin had turned to a slight look of worry, simultaneously with Vyynd's now sad face.

The agent sighs, "Understood then...." opens his pack and looks through it, "In that case....better just leave the whole thing here." He drops the pack in the tunnel and looks to the Leih smiling, "remind me to get this later.... ok, so....we ready?"

Rhagarok walks over to a replicator, "Almost." pauses briefly, "I worked on what power and conduits we had left, and we've got replicators for now... Computer, generate me a rope ladder, long enough to go along the side of the ship." He's answered with the whirring of the replicator, which seems to have a bit of difficulty, but eventually produces the ladder, "NOW we're ready." tr'Rhagarokk affixes the ladder, sending it down to the ground, "Au first." He motions with his hand.

Vyynd nods to the Leih, "resourceful...." takes the offer to go first, "but of course...." Leaping out, he grabs the rope and swings about a bit, then starts descending rapidly, followed by Rhagarokk who hops on afterwards and starts climbing down as well.

Reaching the bottom, Vyynd jumps down and surveys the surroundings as Rhagarokk hops down afterwards, "Ow, I'm still a bit sore from the landing..." He reaches into his lab coat and pulls out his custom multicorder, "Let's see where they went..."

About the same time tr'Khaine kneels down and touches the ground lightly, sifting a bit of dirt through his fingers, he continues to observe and listen around the area. "Mmmm, still feels like home....."

Trying to ignore the ground, having not seen ch'Rihan for a long time, Rhagarokk speaks softly, "Ie... I bet..." feeling a bit wistful.

The Agent looks up at the sky, still scanning the whereabouts and reminiscing, "They headed that way..." he mutters, swinging his arm to point ahead of them, "but...knowing them they didn't head that way long....."

The Erie'Riov scans the area, "Hmm... they either headed towards a city or a small settlement.." shakes his head, " Either way, TAG is going to have my head for letting them talk to locals..."

Vyynd nods his response, "Ie, they may...." faintly smiling as he looks up once more, gazing at the clouds overhead, "...though that's why we're here.....shall we be off?" Stands, brushing his hair back as he has grown a habit to, then suddenly remembers something, "oh." looking back at the ship, "want to just leave this ladder into the ship dangling down??"

Lagging from the agent's thoughts, Rhagarokk asks, "Which way? Towards the city or the settlement? With some time, I may be able to reconfigure the scanner to pick up DT's devices, but for the moment I can't be sure where they are." Ending his rant, answers the last question to finish, "We need to be able to get back in, na?"

Vyynd rebuts, "ie, but if a local...?" shrugs a bit.

"Guess we don't have a choice..." The scientist agrees, still thinking as Vyynd adds, "hrm..." The agent begins pacing the area briefly, "let us leave it...I'll inform security to cover the tunnel until we return....." Vyynd taps Aeris and relays his request, then starts to head off a bit.

Following him, Rhagarokk starts making small talk, "So, I take it ninte... assistant ..is intact from the crash?"

"Ie, she's recovering....she'll relay the message to security personnel and won't have to move much.....duty is duty, after all....." Finds himself heading towards the settlement first.

"Spoken like an Agent once again..." Rhagarokk adds with a slight grin.

"I don't know whether to say hann'yuu or fvadt....." Vyynd adds laughing, then continues to lead the way.

The two walk on for a little while, talking and observing the sites. Rhagarokk has since put his multicorder away. In the close distance, the two spot smoke. tr'Khaine pulls out his binoculars and hunches over peering through them, he cocks an eyebrow, then hands the device to Rhagarokk for a look see with an "odd, no?" The Scientist takes a look, and upon seeing an old man, wearing priestly robes by a fire, he contemplates, "Ie... although I'm na sure of the social structure of these times... I'm na even entirely sure WHEN we are."

Suddenly, while occupied, Vyynd's mind perceives something that his senses were blind to, "Au two can cover, I don't bite"

Nonetheless, Vyynd responds to their current conversation at first, "true...." and takes the device back, instead of looking through it once more it is held at his waist momentarily as he turns to Rhagarokk rather confused, "did au hear something?"

The Leih looks around, "Just a mogai overhead... why?"

"Ie, just making sure...." Vyynd adds scratching his head, then starts creeping forward in a fairly sure and fast pace.

Following along with the agent, Rhagarokk asks in a partially curious and partially worried tone, "What are au doing? Are we actually contacting this local?"

Responding extremely quickly, "Too late for that, rekkhai....." Vyynd closes in, not taking much effort into concealing his approach any longer, he now calls out, "jolan'tru....." in a near daze like state.

The Old Man responds without even looking over, and continues to stare into the fire, "Jolan'tru."

Rhagarokk looks between the two strangely and whispers, "What is going on, Vynnd?"

But he is nearly interrupted as the Old Man adds calmly, "Please, sit, I do na have much to offer, but I am happy to give what I do have"

Vyynd accepts the offer, entering the slight clearing, gazing at the man and the fire, he then turns back to the Erie'Riov, "nothing actually, he was aware of us...and so I figured hospitality is best....." takes a seat near the man. Rhagarokk shakes his head, mentally chalking it up to Tal'Shiar training to let one know when old men are aware of you, then responds, "Jolan'tru, honorable one" Takes a seat as well.

The Old Man begins conversing normally, "I must say au look much different than I expected."

tr'Khaine raises a suspicious eyebrow, "what *did* au...expect?"

The Old Man pauses, "Ie, I guess I should have assumed that the Vhorani would assume the form of a Declared..."

Followed by Vyynd passing a worried look at the Leih, and the Leih returning his look, also not sure what to say, "Err... so who are au and what are au doing out here?"

"I am tr'Monk, high priest of the Khelliana. I was in the area when I saw ninte vessel of the great bird, and begin to journey there" the man responds.

Questioning, Rhagarokk continues, "Vessel... of the Great Bird?" as tr'Khaine seems to be attempting to understand most of the conversation.

tr'Monk continues, "Au two came from the Great Bird, I can sense it in this io," points to Vyynd, "as can I sense his elementa potential. And au are a completely closed book, something I did na think possible"

Vyynd seems to snap more-so into reality as the conversation becomes more followable. Rhagarokk stands, speaking to the agent, "Come on, Vynnd... we have to track down our... companions"

tr'Khaine seems to not hear him momentarily, speaking to the priest instead, "Hrm, I can understand the closed book....though I'd call it more of a book without numbered pages nor an index....then a closed book....."

Glaring at Vyynd, the Erie'Riov questions sternly, "And what's that supposed to mean?"

Vyynd smiles, looking up at the Leih, "Au should know, au live with yourself.....and I cannot merely leave....he has ventured toward the "Great Bird"....and seems to see some new potential in me.....we each have immense curiosity...." The Agent suddenly becomes aware of his security, and pushes every thought irrelevant to the present moments deeper within his mind, shrouding them beneath his years of tal'shiar training, practice, and experiences.

Rhagarokk glances between his kaleh and Vynnd, wondering if the Tal'Shiar agent has finally cracked and whether or not it would be best just to cut him in two right there.

Well knowing these looks of distrust he was receiving from the Leih, Vyynd winces beneath them, and turns back to the old man, "My apologies, business calls and our time does run short....I shall try to journey back.....jolan'tru!" He slowly begins to walk off, near Rhagarokk.

The priest looks between the two leaving men, "Ie, indeed, this is very different than I imagined it... well, as long as S'Task arrives in Vorta`Vhor..."

tr'Rhagarokk begins to walk off with Vyynd, but upon hearing the last statement, spins around, "What did au say?" he asks in a very curious attitude.

Stopping abruptly as well, the agent looks back puzzled, "ie, what was that?"

However, the old man is no where in sight, and the fire has gone out...

Vyynd looks slowly toward Rhagarokk, whom turns slowly toward him as well, "I just want to get our crew back and figure out how to get back to our own time... we've apparently done enough damage already"
