SRR AylhrChapter Twenty-Six: Heading to Codis
[Ready Room, SRR Aylhr]

Dais'erie'Riov Conn'Hae i'Caernu tr'Rok was still annoyed by the insolence shown by Arrain tr'Randuiel. He should have held onto the Sagomh (Medal) he had pinned to his chest, replacing it with the blade of a kalen. It made him smile thinking of the pompous feanna-a face as a kalen slid between his ribs.

Removing his Kaleh from it's wall bracket, Conn'Hae strapped it on to his sword belt and returned to the Oira. EnArrain t'Vrin sat in the Command Throne, overseeing the journey to ch'Codis.

"EnArrain, Reh am going to arham quarters. Once we arrive at ch'Codis inform me, for Reh shall be heading down to the planet for a short time. From there we shall head on to ch'Coriel." he informed her.

"Ie, Rekkhai" she replied sullenly. Perhaps all of the crew thought him a traitor and a coward for running when the Lloann'na patrol came onto sensors. He had not lied to Jarok when he had said he would follow whatever Ael'Riov tr'Ojadanus ordered him to do.

Turning he headed for the turbolift.

[Leih's Quarters, a Short Time later]

The comm channel had thweeped and the Rhaetelh'Saehne informed him that they had attained ch'Codis orbit. Conn'Hae lifted himself from the hard pallet of his bench and moved towards the sonic shower. Having cleaned up he put on a new uniform and again strapped his black scabbarded Kaleh to his belt.

Arrain tr'Rok had called by his quarters earlier and requested to go down to the planet with the Leih. He had heard the hints of rumours of the argument with Jarok, even thought the current Gonaiih'Saehne had the Aenir v'Saeihren Sagomh pinned to his sash.

Conn'Hae had refused the request, and that for one of the `Dev` to accompany them. He was sure that his skill in Llaekh-ae'rl-a (Martial Arts), his Kaleh and disruptor would be enough to prevent an attack by tr'Randuiel. He had chuckled saying that he would quite welcome the chance to remove himself of the slur to his Mnhei'Sahe.

Once dressed the Leih looked himself over in the full length mirror which was one of the few luxuries he allowed himself and turned to head down to the Shuttle Bay. As he went he caught a glimpse of the scar on his left cheek. Although it had faded since the fight at the Phi'lasasam in which he had received the wound, it seemed especially livid in the light of his quarters.

Perhaps it was his imagination as he thought about meeting with Afweirra t'Lhoell after all this time. The last time he had seen her he was a Farein, now he commanded a Wing of ships and had fought in the most deadly war of recent years. It would be good to see her again before going to face his Leih at Galae'Tho Command. He had never met the Ael'Riov, but while Khre'Riov tr'Paya remained on ch'Rihan it was him that he would have to answer to.

[Cargo Bay, SRR Aylhr]

The Leih entered the High Speed Shuttle and headed straight for the cockpit of the small ship. Arrain tr'Randuiel sat at the controls going through last minute flight checks.

"All is prepared, Arrain." He said as the soon-to-be Ifvelhr'Saehne came to vaed'rae (attn) at his gonai console.

"Ie, Rekkhai. Mnean are ready to leave the Aylhr at ninte command." He looked directly ahead as he spoke. Conn'Hae presumed to prevent further argument.

"Then take us out, tr'Randuiel. There is someone Reh wish to see."
