The
Village of Kuru Eruna:
When we first hear mention of this village, we're not given much to
go on. (Bakura just goes around repeating the same info and Akunadin
doesn't do anything but repeat "Kuru Eruna!" in a shocked
and horrified voice before clamming up like nobody's business -_-).
|
New:
Kuru Eruna was once the home of the craftsmen who made tombs
for the pharaoh, but they had a change of heart (**cough**) and became
tomb raiders instead. 6_6 Pretty soon, it became a haven for
outlaws and was given the nickname "Thief Town".
Bakura seems to have spend some or
all of his childhood here, right up until the point where the
entire village was massacred by Pharaoh Akunamukanon's men,
some 15
years ago (AE time).
Little 8-ish year old Bakura watched
it all (no wonder he turned out rotten, ne?) and his hatred of
Yami seems to stem partially from that.
For more info, go see the Birth of Mill.
Item spoiler.
15 years after that event, Bakura
confronts Yami lookin' for revenge. Yami and his court, of
course, are rather clueless about Kuru Eruna (except for Priest Akunadin). |
When they priests rant about the Mill. items being keys to peace,
Bakura laughs and tells them the Items were and always will be
instruments of evil. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.
In the ruins of Kuru Eruna, there's that
tablet we see during some of the Shadi flash-backs. Whomsoever
collects all seven Items and places them in the tablet will get some
sort of ultimate dark power... And Bakura has every intention of
being that Somebody.
Many thanks to Kensuke25 for e-mailing me with info!!!! ^_^
