Naruse Toru, a 15-year-old highschool student, has no capability in any sport. He joins the basketball team in his highschool, Johnan. He can't play basketball and feels depressed. And then, he meets Kusuda Mizuki, his ex-classmate when he was in the primary school. She takes him to a streetbasket field named Three Men's Hoop. There, he meets the boss of the field who called Syu. Syu is a nice guy, and when he knows that Naruse is depressed because he was doing bad when he did the Pass Test at the school, Syu asks Naruse to play with him. Syu is a really famous streetbasket player, and only 2 persons who could steal a score from him until that time. Naruse almost gives up, but finally he can steal a score from Syu by Air Walk. Since then, he is interested in basketball, and learns hard.

         He spends his free time at the Three Men's Hoop. One day, he meets Ozaki Kosuke. He is not a really nice guy and likes to fight. Ozaki is one of the persons who can steal a score from Syu too. And then they play together, with Mizuki. Mizuki asks them to be her team in the streetbasket competition. But they need one more guy. Mizuki heard that there's somebody else that can steal a score from Three Men, Syu's team. She goes to meet him. When he finds the guy, he is not a nice guy. His name is Sawamura Masahiro. He asks her for payment if she wants to have him as her team. Mizuki gets angry and leaves him. But Sawamura heard from his friend that Mizuki's team is the people that have stolen a score from Three Men. He is interested, and then agrees to be their team. That's how the Scratch team made.
