Reaching out from the Duchy of Caragore in Cormyr and the nearly impregnable fortress of the Cloud City of Kaldun, Lord Rowanmantle wages war against pirates, Zhentarim, Thayvians, and the minions of any other evil nation that crosses his path. Lord Rowanmantle's ships are known throughout the Sea of Fallen Stars as Sunsails by the golden sails billowing from their masts. The superb but non-magical caravels Gorgon, Chimera, Firedrake, and Basilisk, are joined in the hunt by the enchanted Waverider caravels, Undine, Hippocampus, Kraken, and Nereid, which skim across the sea on summoned winds and waves, outracing most other things in the sea. From the sky come the Windrider caravels Pegasus and Phoenix, streaking through the air, rivaling eagles on the wing for speed. Caught between the anvil on the sea, and the hammer in the air, many pirate ships have sunk beneath the waves, carrying their wicked crews to a well-deserved fate in Umberlee's dark, watery realm.
