Picking Flowers

From this field of flowers

Which to choose,

Pick but one

The rest to lose?

Oh sorry fate

That I should see

And hear

And smell

And touch

Desiring all so terribly much

But O Jealous flowers!

Want to be picked alone

Leaving me to wander and wonder

With trembling hands

Which to pick

The rest to lose

In a wild, flower-filled land.
