Jadar, the Black Scorpion, formerly known as Cunar, Lord Defender of the Realm of Cormyr.

The background, the Temple of Tymora in Arabel, was painted by another artist, then the image of Cunar was added by Lord Rowanmantle. Scenery is NOT Lord Rowanmantle's forte.

There are shadowy rumors of unknown origin floating about that Cunar is somehow associated with Jadar, the Black Scorpion of Arabel (or IS him). Though the Black Scorpion vanished years ago in the Jungles of Chult seeking the fabled Ring of Winter, it has not stopped the rumors. Others point to Cunar's unusual eyes, noting the similarity to descriptions of another dark hero, Ilsar of the Eyes, who was known for the two magical eyes he that replaced his own -- the Fire-Eye of Avissar, and the Eye of Bagthalos. Whatever the truth of the matter, Cunar does indeed have unusual eyes....

These days Cunar can most often be found in the north, hunting giants and other foul creatures with comrades, especially the Dwarf Farak of Dumathoin. Since Cunar's return from the Labyrinth of Madness, he has forgone fighting with his trust sword Severer to use the awesome Maul of the Titans. He has not been seen in normal size since his return, and is becoming widely known as Cunar the Giant.
