My motivation for writing this site was to help people learn about Linux whilst learning it myself. However my modem doesn't work under Linux so my net research was under Windows. The bulk of the site was created on a Linux platform.

However whilst researching about distributions a familar message appeared, I couldn't close this error message now matter how many times I clicked close!!!!

Count the number of times you have to re-boot Windows and compare it with Linux. Linux lets you terminate an app using the Kill command so theirs no messing about rebooting your machine. so far I've never had a crash with Linux except running Armed Linux which failed to install properly.
