PANAMA
Panama was our entry port to Central America, we only stayed few days in Panama City before heading North. Panama City is a city of contrasts. Huge modern and commercial buildings mixed
with colourful houses in Casco Viejo, and lots of electronic shops everywhere ...

Panama is not only a Canal ... as it is known around the world. But I cannot deny that this is one of the most significant waterways on earth and an engineering marvel.
The easiest way to see the Canal is from the Miraflores Locks, near Panama City, where huge ships are crossing the 80 kms every day.
If you want to see the Canal live
camera, and you would like to catch
the sight of any ship crossing it ..

Old Panama is the historic site outside Panama City, the old capital of the Spanish in the conquest times. Actually there are only ruins.
We met this place thanks to Iriana Garibaldi .. we met her outside the airport. She stopped the car and offered a ride to the city ..  She gave us a great tour around Old Panama before to leave us in the hotel .. and all for free! .. It was our first experience in this friendly country and the beginning of the beautiful time we spent in Central America.

Mola Art of the Kuna Indians
The Kuna Culture are descendents of the Caribs and they still live in much the same manner as their ancestors. Actually they live on a chain of islands called Archipielago de San Blas. "Mola" is the colourful traditional blouse worn by the women.
