Brigitte was born in 1954, in Taiwan and was the second child in her family. Lin spent her childhood in
a small community of retired military veterans in Da Ning, Jia Yi Province before moving to Taipei,
where lin was discovered. Despite her parents disapproval, the 17 year-old Lin Qing Xia signed a
contract with director Soong Chun Shou (a well knowed director) and started her career in Outside the
Window (1793). It was half a year then when Taiwanese audiences saw lin in Floating Clouds (1974).
Over the years, Brigitte landed in may roles. As for in her privite life lin wasen't very lucky in love. Lin
had a personal romance with Chin Han who she met on the set of Outside the Window. Their
forbidden love with a married man with 2 kids. When Chin wife found out about their relationship,
Lin flew to the United States to escape from the messed up love thing and she lived quietly for a
few years. Later Lin was engage with Charlie Chin.
Afterward Lin return and made movie that got her nowhere such as Fantasy Mission Force, Seven
Foxes, etc. The Warrior From the Magic mountain boosted her career in 1983.
In 1990 Red Dust brought her to Best Actress in Golden Horse Award. 1991 in Peach Blossom
Land and went into star in its theatre production. Tsui hark wanted brigitte to play the role as fo
Asia the Invincible in Swordsman II and she toop the role of palying Asia the Invincible, Lin
taking this role made her made her know worldwide. Swordsman II turned out to be one of the
biggest money-making in Hong Kong cinemas.
Brigitte was Very Famous in the 90's and stared to cast more movies such as Handsome
Siblings, Royal Tramp II, the East Is Red , the Bride with White Hair 1 & 2., Boys are Easy, Ashes
of Time and one of her best movie that Lin ended with in her entertainement carrer ChungKing
Express. In 1994 Lin ended her carrer from the entertaiment industry, while lin got marry to
Micheal Ying Lee at the age of 40.
Now lin is liveing with her husband (Micheal Ying Lee) and her 3 children.
