| LotR The Two Towers Personal Comment. |
| COMMENT: As mentioned with the first movie, I have not read the books. In fact, people who have read them say the second instalment differs immensely. Well, if that is true, the book should be like the movie, right down to Legolas saying that Aragorn looks terrible when he comes back from the dead! This movie should not be seen as a merely underrated sequel, but a fabulous, stupendous movie on its own. It, for one, certainly does justice to its praised elf warrior, Legolas Greenleaf. His role continues to blossom in this film, and I cannot wait until he flowers and bursts in the third one! (As long as he doesnt literally burst). I absolutely recommend this family film to anyone who would willingly give fantasy, magic and action a chance. I also recommend no one do what I did, and annoyed everyone by: 1. Squealing and clapping my hands whenever Legolas came on. 2. Reciting Legolas lines as he spoke them. 3. Yelling Go Legolas! when he punched the guards and jumped on the horse. 4. Giggling and sighing when Legolas spoke Elvish. 5. Crying when Legolas looked sad 6. Yawning and groaning whenever Aragorn or Frodo began talking. I also MUST add that the fourth time at the cinemas is the BEST TIME after the first. And, the seventh time is the coolest time when Legolas speaks Elvish, because by then youve learnt how to pronounce them all properly. I love his accent. He is a hero. My hero. |
