| COMMENT: Now, honestly, I know many people who have read Tolkien�s novels were disappointed in this movie. Don�t let this turn you off!! This film was transformed from what was once just a thick book filled with phenomenal pages. I have not read the books. I may NEVER read them! That does not restrict me from finding the beginning of the famous trilogy 100% captivating. One could say that it was absolutely spectacular� and I would be that person. Never has a movie has me stirring in my seat, gripping the sides of the chair or attaching my eyes permanently to the screen. If there is one movie out there that incorporates all you�ll ever need to be satisfied, then this is it! Peter Jackson�s perfectly selected cast made the already acclaimed, magical and unforgettable story both real and believable. When it was over, I expected to see hobbits, elves and dwarves walking amongst the humans in real life! I was expecting the movie not to finish where it did- to me, the 3 hours went WAY too quickly. I only saw it once at the cinemas, but the day it was released, I was at Target, making sure I bought the breathtaking keepsake on video. It was when I watched it at home that I fell in love with the elf archer, Legolas. But, anyway, besides the fact that he is the whole �star� and �centre� of this website, he is a hero. My hero. |
