Kids Halloween Party Ideas
Children come dressed in their costumes.

Have each child bring a pumpkin to paint. Make sure you have each one bring about the same size so there are no conflicts or harsh remarks.
Menu

Witches Fingers
... Pigs in a blanket with plastic witches fingers placed on the hot dog.

Crushed Bones with Dip... chips and dip

Dirt and Worms... Chocolate pudding with gummy worms sticking out of the pudding.

Ghost Poop... Miniature marshmellows

Bat Juice... Colored pop

Pumpkin Juice... Orange drink

Vampire Juice

(cover each bottle of juice with decorated construction paper)
Use the happy meal buckets to serve the food in.

Freeze plastic bugs, spiders... in ice cubes to place in the drinks.
Games

Guess How Many
Buy plastic containers of candy corn or pumpkin mix. Have each child guess how many pieces are in the container. The one the closet to the actual number wins the candy.

Memory Game
Place about 16 items (depending on age of the children) on a tray. Examples ~ flashlight, candle, plastic spider, piece of candy, small pumpkin, small ghost, Halloween napkin, Halloween cassette tape, Halloween pencil, witches finger, trick or treat candy bag. Sit the children in a circle with the tray in the middle. Have children study the items on the tray for 1-2 minutes. Be sure to go over each item so they will know each item by name. Then take the tray away and have each child write down as many items as they can remember. Give them about 5 minutes to complete. The person who remembers the most wins a prize.

Pumpkin Toss
Have each child stand a reasonable distance from a plastic pumpkin. Let them have 3 tosses with a bean bag. The child who gets the most bean bags in the pumpkin wins a prize.

How many words can you find?
Choose a word or group of words. See how many words each child can make from the word or words. The one with the most words wins a prize.
Suggestions ~ Trick or Treat, Pumpkin Patch, Halloween

Prize Suggestions

Candy
Halloween flashlights
Reflectors
Pumpkin cups filled with candy
Stickers
Pencils
(Be sure to have extras in case there is a tie.)

Party Favors
Have each child bring a bag of candy. Have another adult divide the candy into bags while the children play games. You could have the children fish for their favors. Just place a curtain rod between in a doorway with a piece of fabric drape over it. Make a fishing pole with a stick and a piece of string. Place a clothespin on the end of the string. Let the child toss their line over the curtain. Have an adult on the other side to clip a bag on to the line and give the line a tug!
Witches Brew
This has been a favorite at my parties.

Place ingredients in small dixie cups. Make sure you have enough to give each child atleast one cup. Ust a large plastic witches pot to place all the ingredients in.

toenails...dried coconut
flies...raisins
bellybutton lint or toejam...cotton or dryer lint
spiders...plastic spiders
beetles...dried beans (cook and let dry)
brains...spaghetti noodles
eyeballs...peeled grapes
nose hair...use real hair from a brush and cut it in small pieces
mouse droppings...shaved chocolate
worms...gummy worms

I always tell the kids, for example, the nose hair clippings came from one the dads, or we were very lucky today because my husband trimmed his toenails!

To top it off add your chicken grease (vinegar) to make sure it goes down easy and your sugar (baking soda) just to sweeten it a little bit. This will cause it to bubble over. Experiment with the vinegar and soda before you actually do it so you will know how much you want to use.
Put some spaghetti noodles and peeled grapes in a shoebox. Cut a hole just large enough for a child's hand to reach through. Blindfold a child and have them reach in to feel some brains and eyeballs!
