read in his website.
Glenn Doman taught nothing new to teachers but the laymen will find it useful. He is not a teacher but a researcher and his marketing is so good that his book has 5 million prints. He is saying that baby from birth to 6 years can be taught by flash cards, which all educators know. The child does not learn by staring but absorb in the knowledge like a sponge. Flash the word very quickly like one second only and say the word clearly and loud. He says the words must be big for the child to absorb. His size of the placard is 22" x 6" which I think is too big and more for classroom teaching. A more enjoyable way is to flash 8” x 5” cards while playing with the child. It is more convenient and easy to use.

New Words a Day for Baby
Start
with 25 Words
Have 5 Sets of 5 words per set
One
Session = 1 set of 5 words shown once
(1 second for each word)
Daily frequency per set = 3 times
(3 X 5 = 15 sec)
Daily frequency for 5 sets = 3 times 5 sets = 15 times
(5 x 15 = 75 sec)
Min. Life span per word = 3 times daily for 5 days
(3 x 5 = 15 times)
Add 5 new words daily = 1 new word for each set
(After the first week)
Retired 5 old words daily = 1 old word from each set
In 2 weeks there will be 50 new words
In 3 weeks there will be 75 new words
I think the book is worthwhile to read and to be adapted for what he says.
How to create the words with a font size bigger than 72 in Word Document
Right Click on menu bar----Customize----Command---Format---scroll down the right panel until you see the Grow Font and Shrink Font buttons.
Then drag the Grow Font button to beside the font size and drag the Shrink Font button beside it.
You are now ready to create the word you want to any size. To increase the size of the word, highlight the word and click on the Grow Font button until you get the size that is desired.
You may like to create the word to fit the A4 size paper and then print and cut the words created to be pasted on to the 5”x 8” flash cards.
You may like to do the same for Chinese words or any other language words as well.
