8 days in Beijing, Chengde and Qinhuangdao

Holiday in Beijing, Chengde and Qinhuangdao from 16 to 23 March, 2006.

Day 1   Kuala Lumpur / Beijing                                                    (Meals On Board/Dinner)
Assemble at Kuala Lumpur International Airport for your flight to Beijing.
Upon arrival, proceed to the famous Tian’anmen Square – the largest city square in the world where over a million people can gather.
After dinner, proceed to enjoy the Beijing Opera.

Day 2   Beijing                                                                        (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, visit to the Forbidden City, the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now known as the Palace Museum. It has 9,000 halls and rooms, containing many precious relics.
Continue visit to the Summer Palace, a grand imperial palace and a royal garden of the Qing Dynasty. It is an outstanding example of imperial gardens in classical Chinese style. 

Day 3   Beijing                                                                        (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, visit to Great Wall of China.  Great Wall is reputed as a wonder in the world architectural history.
Next, visit to The Ming Tombs (Shisanling) – burial ground of 13 Ming Dynasty emperors. Construction of this began more than 500 years ago and continued over a period of 230 years.
After dinner, visit to Sun Dong An Plaza - the biggest shopping mall at Wangfujing Street, and you can try the local delicacy at the “Dong Hua Men Night Market”.

Day 4   Beijing ~ Chengde                                                    (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, proceed to visit Temple of Heaven – the largest group of temple building in china. This was the places where the Ming and Qing emperors were to worship Heaven and pray for good harvest.
After lunch, proceed to Chengde.

Day 5   Chengde ~ Qinhuangdao                                         (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, proceed to Imperial Summer Villa, located in the city of Chengde, north-east of Hebei Province. It is China's largest imperial garden, covering an area of 5.6 million sq. meters, and with a wall of 10km. The construction is mammoth, brilliant and magnificent. Continue visit to Little Potala Palace.
After lunch, coach towards Qinhuangdao - literally Qin Emperor’s Island, was named after an emperor of the Qin Dynasty. 

Day 6   Qinhuangdao ~ Beijing                                                  (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast proceed to Shanhaiguan town was originally built to protect the most easterly section of the Great Wall, that still runs through the eastern city walls, before winding south to the sea. It is the Eastern Gate, a double storey, double roofed tower that was built in Ming Dynasty. Out of the town that most popular sights are Old Dragon Head (Laolong tou), where the Great Wall finally hits the sea.  Then proceed to Seafood Market. 
After lunch, proceed to Beidaihe is a famous and scenic summer resort located at the southwest of Qinhuangdao Municipality.  After tours, proceed back to Beijing.

Day 7   Beijing                                                                             (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, visit Panda zoo, then visit to Dong Bian Men City Gate.
After lunch, shopping.

Day 8   Beijing / Kuala Lumpur                            (Breakfast/Lunch/Meals On Board)
After breakfast, its time for you to experience a extraordinary travel styles, with trishaw ride along the old Beijing back street or called “ Hutong” where you can feel the traditional cultural in Beijing. 
Then visit to Underground City.
After lunch, transfer to airport for your flight back home.
