Vanessa Justine Wangen "Joan Watson"

Creative since before she can remember, Vanessa Justine Wangen, 21, has recently been occupying her hands and mind by drawing with colored pencils, her current favorite medium. She has also worked with acrylic, oil, and water paints, air brush, standard gray pencils, silk paints, pen and ink, and many others. Even as far back as three years of age, Vanessa has always had an active imagination. Her mother had given her a plain lined-paper notebook and a roll of brown masking tape. Vanessa was told to entertain herself. A few hours later, her mother discovered that Vanessa had made a rather crafty stagecoach out of the paper and tape!
Born and raised in the capital city of Bismarck, ND, Vanessa has now been living in the small town of Wahpeton, ND for over 2 years, with recent plans to move to the bigger city of Fargo, ND. Her parents have been divorced since she was seven, and she has a sister that is 27, Melissa, a sister that is 18, Brenda, and a sister that is 16, Christina. Her father and siblings live in Bismarck yet, as well as her grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and other immediate family members, for the most part.
Vanessa has taken all of her schooling in Bismarck up until after last May when she should have graduated but did not quite have enough credits. She had thought about simply getting her GED, about two months ago, her loving boyfriend, Micheal Mihulka, 22, easily talked her into going back to high school. Mike himself is currently taking courses for Electronics at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND.
Unfortunately, Vanessa has not taken many classes in art. She has only taken the general required classes back in junior high. One extra art class that she took was on back in her tenth grade year was Introduction to Advertising Arts. It was here that she learned how to air brush paint, silk paint, silk screen on T-shirts, and other advertising techniques, which include a very small amount of computer graphics lessons.
