Traveling to Kyoto? Then please let me know.

Welcome to my site. I'm a Japanese guy living in Kyoto city. Now, if you are coming to Japan and may visit Kyoto, how about taking a free walking tour with someone local?

Wishing to practice my English and enjoy friendship, I've been giving this personalized walking tour for many overseas visitors to Kyoto. It's a casual tour which shows you many popular tourist spots of the city like Kiyomizu temple, Golden/Silver Pavilion, Nijo Castle, Gion etc...

The tour itself is free. Just pay for your own expense; transportation, admission fees to temples, food etc... Of course I welcome all genders, ages and nationalities. You don't even have to be fluent in English.

So feel free to email me if you are interested. Thank you.

More about my tour

I can give you the tour on my holidays. So I may not be available in case the dates of your trip is to coincide with my working days. Sorry about the inconveniences.
With luck, we will meet either at Kyoto station or at your hotel for starting the day's tour. Of course other places can be set for your conveniences.

Although it says "walking tour", of course we take bus or subway to get around the city. Still, we will walk a lot of distances within each area. So please bring sturdy shoes.

We will visit most major attractions in the city such as Kiyomizu temple, Gion, Golden/Silver Pavilion etc... But the course can be flexibly altered upon your request. For instance, we can go to some remote locations like Kurama temple, Kibune shrine, Enryakuji temple if you like.

Places I can't come with you to...
Sorry, but I can't go to Saihoji temple(moss temple) with you, as its entrance costs as much as ¥3000. Also I can't afford any expensive restaurants.

Other places I don't like include karaoke, bars, pubs, pachinko parlors, game arcades, adult-entertainment shops etc...
