| OK! Magazine - June 2003 Kym Marsh's Italian Job Solo star drives the local men crazy and makes peace with Myleene. Kym Marsh is certainly enjoying life back in the limelight, as these exclusive shots from her new video reveal. The promo, which was filmed in Rome, will accompany Kym's new single, Come On Over which is set for release on July 7th. It depicts a girlie holiday, and while Kym and her mates are out shopping they attract a lot of attention from some hot Italian moped riders. One in particular catches Kym's eye and a 'will they, won't they?' scenario plays out before he tries to get her number. Come On Over will be followed by Kym's debut solo album, Standing Tall which is released on July 21. And the CD has certainly gone down well with Kym's husband Jack Ryder. 'He plays it all the time in the car,' reveals Kym. Kym's solo career is also proving to be a hit with her two children, David and Emily. She explains: 'I prefer doing solo stuff as I find it easier to organise my life around the kids - they are the most important thing to me and my relationship with them will always come first.' She adds: 'I'm with the children an awful lot now, which is great. I get to take them places and go to their assemblies, plays and stuff.' The former Hear'Say star also revealed that she can't wait to have more children with Jack - and sooner rather than later. A svelte Kym says she was over the moon that her first single, Cry, reached number two in the charts. 'I totally didn't expect it. I was keeping my fingers crossed for top ten but it did much better than I thought. I couldn't have wished for more. 'I wasn't disappointed that it didn't reach number one. The fact that it got to number two was great for me and, besides, Room 5 (the group which kept it from number one) had a wicked song.' Kym is also happy that she's patched up her differences with the rest of Hear'Say and that they're doing well. 'Myleene has signed a deal now and she's off recording. I wish her all the best,' says Kym. 'Suzanne is doing the musical Summer Holiday and having a great time. We've spoken and she's happy - I would never wish anything bad on them.' And she reserves special praise for former bandmate Noel. 'He's lovely - Noel's a very family orientated person, which is something I can identify with. He loves his mum and is a really nice guy. He is very, very talented. I would love to see him make something of himself - I know that he can.' So all in all things are looking up for the lass from Wigan. But does she get it on with the Italian hunk in the video? You'll just have to watch it to find out... |
