KOR CHOKK GRAND CRUISER
The Kor Chokk Grand Cruiser was often referred to as the Yuuzhan Vong equivalent of a Super Star Destroyer. While the ships had little in common in terms of appearance, both were extremely powerful weapons of war.

Though classed as a capital vessel - and dubbed a 'grand cruiser' by New Republic Intelligence - the Kor Chokk was more like a mobile space station. In battle, the behemoth cruiser manoeuvered little, preferring to intimidate the enemy with its presence alone. Not that the grand cruiser was without offensive weapons; far from it, as each vessel carried one hundred and twenty plasma projectors as standard. Each Kor Chokk also carried a full compliment of two hundred and sixteen coralskippers, plus thirty yorik-trema transports.

While New Republic vessels were repaired and advanced between battles, the Kor Chokk took things one step further. Most of the vessels began life as smaller cruisers, though the more battles they survived, the larger the cruisers grew. Parts of less fortunate ships were grafted onto Kor Chokk cruisers, building up its structure and covering wounds if necessary. Additionally, the advances ensured undamaged portions of host vessels were put to good use. The idea of grafting new elements onto the frame after a victory had its roots in Yuuzhan Vong society itself, where warriors escalated themselves with implants to mark their successes.

The result of the grafts meant that the most infamous and powerful Kor Chokk cruisers were massive, horrifying sights, littered with protrusions and new weapons or defences. A prime example was the Legacy of Torment, Sheado Shai's personal command ship. The grand cruiser hardly appeared to be a spacecraft at all; its additional elements had turned it into some kind of hideous mobile weapons tower.

Though all Kor Chokk grand cruisers differed in shape, all shared a number of traits. All grand cruisers featured multiple docking arms, from which their coralskipper squadrons were launched. These arms made up the bulk of the grand cruiser, and took up much of the ship's 'cargo space'. The ships were also protected on all sides by plasma launchers and dovin basals, and could generate interdiction fields to snag ships from hyperspace.

Despite their infamy in battle, there were few Kor Chokk cruisers deployed during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. The invaders only had access to a handful of the vessels - lucky for the members of the New Republic forced to battle the gargantuan creations. Sheado Shai's cruiser became the flagship of Deign Lian after the former's death on Ithor. Its new commander used the grand cruiser to deliver a lethal bioweapon into the atmosphere of Ithor, destroying its jungles and wildlife. With one strike, the Kor Chokk had decimated the entire planet.
