Spent most of my 20's in San Francisco being "arty." Went to nursing school (one has to make a living), returned to Ohio, worked at Cleveland Clinic for 17 years. Moved out of the city in 1990, got a horse and 5 acres and began my rural direction. Started up a sandwich catering business but gave it up when I really moved to the sticks in 2005. Presently married to Bruce who likes to build things, we live on 50 acres in Southern Ohio and are working toward self sufficiency. I'm still painting and drawing as well as gardening, cooking, and winemaking. Favorite pastimes are crosswords and reading, currently enjoying Barbara Kingsolver.
