On September 12, 2006, Jeff's 55th birthday, he had a massive fatal heart attack. Cleveland.com posted the following death notice:
JEFFREY M. KAMINSKY; Patty Kaminsky (Jerry); loving father of Nicholas and Gregory; dearest son of Ella (nee Yuhas) and the late Joseph; dear brother of Gary (Jeanne); loving son-in-law of Alexandra Sokol; loving brother-in-law of Jody and Sal Acino and Sandee and Bob Kish; beloved uncle of many. Jeff was an active scouter in the Boy Scouts of America.
