Skip is the Assistant Regional Manager for Ford Motor Credit Company's California Region. Jeff is a computer technician for Hitachi Magnetics in Michigan. He is married to Jennifer and they are expecting their first child in July. Julie is a junior at the University of California, San Diego. She is majoring in Human Development with a minor in Education. She is a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Julie leaves, on the 4th of July, for Florence, Italy, to study Italian culture with the University of California, Berkeley, Summer Study Abroad Program.
I am the Assistant Manager at Willow Manor, a gift boutique in Rancho Santa Margarita. It is very challenging because of the product knowledge needed to be able to sell the artwork and the collectibles.
We were originally transferred to northern California 4 years ago and lived 35 miles east of San Francisco. The San Francisco region was combined with the Los Angeles region in October, 1998, and now makes up the California region, the biggest in the United States. Rancho Santa Margarita is between Los Angeles and San Diego - we live about 20 miles from Disneyland! I love it here and hope we never get transferred from this area! (No, I don't miss the snow and cold weather.)
Since moving to California, Skip and I have had the opportunity to do a lot of traveling as part of his job. Hawaii is part of the California region so we go there quite frequently - it is a tough job but somebody has to do it! We have also traveled abroad to Prague, Frankfurt, Munich, Salzburg, and most recently, a week in Rome. Unfortunately, we don't get back to Ohio very much anymore - funny how everyone would rather come out here to visit us!
