MAGIC MAKES THEM FORGET PAIN
JUST reverse the spelling of Doctor, and how does it read? Rotcod; and this is the name adopted by Dr.P.C.Koruthu, probably the only medical doctor among the magicians and the only magician among the doctors.
Even though he had developed an interest in magic during his school days, it was only during his stay at Bangalore while pursuing his medical education that he had a chance to learn magic. He was lucky enough to have had training in the famous Karnataka Faculty of Magic, which has trained many well-known magicians in India. Even during his studies, he found time to attend the classes and practice the art of magic and thus became an accomplished magician. He now performs on stage in various places in spite of his busy schedule as the ENT Surgeon at Fellowship Mission Hospital Kumbanadu. The same hands with which he operates on patients cuts the body of his dear daughter Linta into two halves, but makes sure that he restores the torso into one, all in a matter of few minutes. This "operation" may not be as complicated and intricate as the ones he performs in the operation theatre since this is only an illusion.
Dr.Koruthu frequently performs at various medical conferences and other stages. He is very particular in learning new tricks not to be left behind in the ever-competitive world of magic. He has a few really good tricks up his sleeves like the 'currency mirage' in which he burns a currency note collected from the audience(hopefully the Government officials are not watching) and make the same note reappear; and 'news paper collage' in which he tears a news paper into many pieces and within seconds he hands out to you the original news paper.
He performs on stage since he loves doing so and not with the sheer idea of making any extra money, and hence charges only the incidental expenses. His wife Dr.Suja Koruthu a Paediatrician gives him ample support and his daughters Linta and Leah also helps him while
performing on the stage. Those who wait in front of his consultation room include not only patients, but also those who would like to learn a two from him.
