Eumir El-Adeira Deodato

The second transistion began with Kool & The Gang deciding to enlist a lead vocalist and a new producer. The later of these was Eumir Deodato.
But as well as being the bands producer Eumir wrote with the band and played with band as a member on keyboards - hense creating a different situation to that of Gene Redd ten years while Gene Redd had produced and arranged for the band Eumir Deodato produced and arranged in association with the band.
However after re-establishing themselves the band decided to go back into self production and broke away from Deodato - who was already recognised as a great writer and producer
The nickname comes from the title of one of his albums and the fact that most other artists were blown away by this exellent team.
