*Perhaps escaping was a good idea*
Finally she did respond.
"Oh, Neko-chan." She reached out and took Neko's hand. Neko was taken aback.
Tenshi-kun looked her in the eyes. "Iie, Neko-chan. Some of it was true, but it's ok."
"It is?" her voice broke.
"Neko-chan, we do have a confusing relationship. I mean, I don't get the whole Knight-thing either. But I'm not going to give up on it because of that. And I hope you won't either. Although I'd understand if you wanted to."
Neko's eyes widened. "Iya! Why would I want that?"
Tenshi-kun squeezed her eyes shut for a minute. *Is she trying not to cry?* Neko wondered. She waited until Tenshi-kun opened them again. Then she looked into the shining aquamarines and asked, "Did you mean all that you said back there?"
"Ano, I�." Tenshi-kun blushed, which Neko always found to be adorable. "I did."
"Oh." Neko let that sink in. Then she asked, "Why did you stop calling me 'Koneko'?"
"Well, I wasn't sure that you would want me to. I thought maybe you were going to break up with me."
"Oh." Neko let that one sink in too. Then she smiled, truly happy for the first time that day. "Silly girl, why would I do that?"
"I, uh, thought- Nevermind�. Do you want me to stop calling you 'Koneko-chan'?"
"No, never stop." Neko reached up and briefly kissed her.
Tenshi-kun whispered before returning the kiss:
"Koneko and Tenshi, standing by a tree.
K.I.S.S.I.N.G."
Look, a story that was not about Neko and Tenshi's relationship (well, not 'til the end, but that's Heather's fault because she made it so I had to have them kiss and make up that night, but not while Jian-kun and Mi-chan did the same, which was the original plan). Well, the first part was about them, but Mi-chan was injured and without memory, so I couldn't use her much for that part. Plus it was building up to this part.
I'm happy because Neko is not having so many issues. And because I got to do a whole "Wow, their hair's flying and their symbols are showing" scene. And we got to have our big crying scene. Yay!

It's Heather's story & starts off the next day. I suggest reading it before In Shining Armor 'cuz I borrowed action & dialogue in a scene & need to give credit where credit is due. Plus it's a cute story!
