(Revenge and) Redemption

New Background!!
Part 1 takes place a week before part 2 and it won't make sense if I don't update the reader on what happened in our final game, which takes place in between the two story parts.
The older Senshi were all going to the moon, including Ami, Ryo, Haruka, and Michiru to investigate everything that had been going on.  Basically, they knew something bad was brewing.  They sent Tenshi and Puroko to Hawaii, because there was obviously some reason that Haruka and Michiru went (other than vacation) the first time that I apparently missed (actually, my guess is that it was because Shay didn't want to have such a major NPC in the game).  Anyway, Tenshi went to get a handle on what was happening there.  (Oh yeah, it's worth mentioning that Tenshi got a communicator watch in between the two stories.)  She and Puroko left at the same time that the Mizuno kids were picking up Kimako.  After they left and Kimako arrived, the airplanes started acting up and they suspected the Negaverse.  So basically, there were fights at the airport, Chibi got kidnapped, Kou (the random Starlight that hangs with us) was chased off by a yoma, never to be seen again, and the Mizuno girls fought off yoma around the airport.  Then Sailor Phoenix sensed evil in the vicinity of their house, so they went there.  There they fought more yoma, saved Chibi, and tried not to destroy the house.
Then Jadeite showed up (because he never died, he was encased in crystal) and tried to beat them.  Sailor Electra flirted with him, he got confused, and Sailor Eryx attacked.  Then the Mizuno kids did some combined attacks which succeeded in defeating him.  So Eryx called her mom and told her about it, which made all the original Senshi come down to Earth, since they wanted to know what happened.  Yeah and that's where we are now.

Part 2

Mi-chan was upstairs working on her homework along with her twin sister, Neko-chan.  They had taken up some dinner (hoagie sandwiches and some tea) and were trying to concentrate on their Modern Japanese.  They were both only too aware of the royal family and their court downstairs.  It made it very hard to study, which really was too bad since final exams were coming up.
"Neko-chan," Mi-chan whispered, as if the Sailor Senshi could hear her. "Can you believe we beat Jadeite?!"
    "Yeah that was cool."
Suddenly, Mi-chan remembered that there was something that Neko-chan had promised to tell her if they lived through the fight.  "Hey, isn't there something-?"
She was interrupted by a knock at their door.  "Come in!" they said in unison.  Ami walked in.
"Girls, the King and Queen have gone back to the moon and most of the other Senshi are returning to their homes.  Ne, Neko, Tenshi-chan and Puroko-chan will be coming home Tuesday evening.  Haruka-sama and Michiru-sama wanted to know if you would like to come with them to pick them up at the airport."
Neko-chan's eyes lit up.  "Hai!  Arigatou."
Mi-chan fought the urge to ask if she could come too.  She knew why only Neko-chan had been asked to come, but deep down, she was a little hurt that she hadn't been invited.  After all, she had known Puroko-chan as long as Neko-chan and she certainly knew Haruka-sama much better.  But Tenshi-san was Neko-chan's koibito .  And they had a really kawaii relationship.  They made goo-goo eyes at each other, and Tenshi-san occasionally called Neko-chan "Koneko-chan" (had anyone else tried that, they'd be sorry real fast), and Neko-chan spent most of the day thinking about Tenshi-kun.  If they kept this up, they'd be dropping honorifics altogether by the end of the month.  Kami, it was kawaii.
     It was practically sickening.
Mi-chan had had her share of guys, but she had never been as passionate about one as Neko-chan seemed to be with Tenshi-san.  Not even Jian-kun, who she considered her first serious koibito.  But while she really liked him, maybe even loved him, she didn't get upset if he didn't show her some affection, or if he hadn't been around for awhile.  Maybe it was because Mi-chan was used to flirting with lots of guys and Neko-chan wasn't (in fact, Mi-chan couldn't remember the last time she'd noticed her sister flirt with a guy at all before Tenshi-san; certainly not since they arrived on Earth).  Maybe it was because Neko-chan and Tenshi-san seemed to develop their relationship so quickly, while Mi-chan and Jian-kun started out as friends, moved onto flirting, and eventually developed a relationship.  Maybe it was because Neko-chan and Tenshi-san had done battle together and had grown closer because of it, and Jian-kun wasn't a Senshi, so he couldn't fight by Mi-chan's side.  Even if he had that one time, Mi-chan couldn't remember the battle at the dance, so she didn't know if he fought, hung out on the sidelines, or what.  No one had ever said what he had done there, just that he had seen them transform.  Maybe she'd ask Neko-chan after Ami left.
As their okaa-san walked out, telling Neko-chan that she'd give her answer to Haruka-sama and Michiru-sama, Mi-chan giggled at the smile on Neko-chan's face.
    "Nani?"
"You're so obsessed."  She rolled her eyes and giggled again at the distressed look on Neko-chan's face.
"Am not," Neko-chan teasingly pouted like she was four years old.  Mi-chan giggled a third time.  Then she thought she'd change the subject.
"Neko-chan, when we were battling the yoma at the dance," Mi-chan sensed Neko-chan put her guard up; " what did Jian-kun do while we fought?"
Neko-chan answered very slowly.  "Ano, he fought as well."
"Oh.  But he's not a Senshi, right?  I mean, he doesn't have any powers, does he?"
Neko-chan seemed to consider this for a moment.  "Iie.   He doesn't have any powers."
    "Ano, how'd he fight then?"
"He's not entirely helpless without powers, you know," Neko-chan said defensively.  "I mean, he is a black belt in Kempo."
*Neko-chan, what are you hiding?* Mi-chan knew that there was something that Neko-chan wasn't telling her and it was very disturbing for both of them.  But Neko-chan almost never lied if she could help it.  The trick to finding out what Neko-chan wasn't saying was to read in between the lines of what she was saying.  Maybe Jian-kun was a Senshi, but without powers?  No, that didn't make sense.  *Maybe he tried to defend me and lost.  How romantic!  Or maybe he did too well and Neko-chan's trying not to hurt my feelings because I wasn't strong enough.* Mi-chan sighed.  There were too many things Neko-chan could be avoiding talking about.
Suddenly, Mi-chan got paranoid.  *What if he broke up with me?  What if he broke my heart!?* Jian-kun had been pretty avoid-y lately.  And come to think of it, she rarely had seen Neko-chan and Jian-kun in the same room together since the night of the dance.  Although she knew they had had an argument at the dance.  But still, Neko-chan didn't usually hold grudges about arguments.
"Neko-chan, did Jian-kun break up with me at the dance?"
