| Epilogue: Where the Sky Meets the Sea Poor Tenshi, Neko said sympathetically. Everyone ended up mad at you, and it was my fault. Its okay, Tenshi assured her. No, its not, Neko pouted, putting her arms around Tenshis neck. Let me make it up to you. Tenshi smiled slyly. I like the sound of that. Behave, Neko scolded her before she kissed her. I love you so much, Koneko. She lifted her up and spun her around. Neko wrapped her legs around Tenshis waist and kissed her again. You sure youre not tired of the beach? Tenshi asked. Neko smiled at her. Ill never tire of it. Besides its the only place we can get some real privacy. Then with concern, Youre not, are you? Anywhere is wonderful when youre there, Koneko. Neko looked adoringly at her. Tenshi, she said unexpectedly, lets elope. Tenshi was so startled she almost dropped her. Nani?! After all they had just done to get Haruka and Michirus permission? I want to marry you right now. I dont need a wedding, just you. We could just grab Mi-chan, and Jian-wa, and Puroko, if you like. Before anything else happens, I want to be your wife. Without letting go of Tenshis neck, Neko released her legs and put her feet back on the sand, as if to prove that her feet were solidly on the ground with this plan. Tenshi gazed lovingly into her eyes. Koneko, it means a lot to me that you want to marry me right away. And I understand that you dont need a traditional wedding, demo. She closed her eyes and visualized the wedding she had pictured in the back of her mind since she, Tenshi, had first kissed Neko. When she opened them, she was in a slightly more dreamy state of mind. I want one. I want all my family and friends there. I want flowers and cranes and a reception and a big wedding cake. I want one of us to be given away by one of our parents. I want one of us to walk down the aisle in a long flowing white dress. I want a fairytale wedding, Koneko. Even if that means waiting a while. Oh Tenshi, Neko said affectionately, you are such a hopeless romantic, you know that? She giggled. Well, I supposed Ill have to get a tux then. Oh, no, Tenshi protested, I didnt mean Neko put a finger to Tenshis lips. If you want traditional, one of us will have to be in a tuxedo. And itll have to be me because I want you in a dress when we get married. Okay? Tenshi beamed at her. That was totally acceptable. She actually had been trying to decide whether she wanted to be in a dress or tux for the wedding. Neko just made the decision easier. I bet youd look dead sexy in a tux, Koneko. Neko giggled bashfully. Well, Im kinda looking forward to not having to deal with the dress. At least not until I help you take it off, she said with a wink. Look how youve become the male half again, Tenshi teased her. Silly girl. Were both the female half, remember? Neko asked, initiating a passionate kiss. Hai, Koneko, I remember. |
