Jasper stood outside the Tenoh-Kaiou�s huge house, trying to work up the courage to ring the bell. He was a little worried that Tenshi would take one look at him and shut the door in his face. She had every right to, afterall, he had caused her to mess up things with Neko, but he was still hoping she could find it in her heart to forgive him. In the past she had proved just as forgiving as Neko.
Maybe it was something about being a ruler of Eryx, he speculated.
He decided to knock. That way if nobody heard him, he could just leave and pretend that it was just that no one was home. And for all he knew, that was true.
He took a deep breath and knocked.

Puroko galloped down the stairs at the sound of knocking on the door. Through great strength of will, she managed not to scream that she would get it, because she knew that Tenshi was sleeping. She had gone on this huge trip and was really tired, so Puroko didn�t want to wake her.
That was pretty nice of her, she figured.
Upon opening the door, she had to look way, way up to see the face of the guy at the door. She stared at him, probably with the same look of shock upon her face as that on his face.
He was the guy who had helped Amber kidnap her.

Jasper had forgotten that someone other than Tenshi might open that door, and he had completely forgotten about Tenshi�s little sister. Once upon a time, his little sister Amber had been trying to use her to infiltrate the Senshi, especially to distress Tenshi. Amber had been the one to lie to her and mistreat her, but he had driven her to their mansion and had been there when Tenshi had found them.
�Ano, I- Could I- Onegai�� He didn�t get a chance to finish what he was trying to say before she reacted to him.
�Caffeine Hyper Sweet Attack!�
She ran at him and pushed him away from the door, before running back and slamming it. He could hear the lock turn and footsteps run away.

�Tenshi!� Puroko had forgotten all about how she was going to let her sister sleep. She shook her, crying, �Tenshi, wake up! Tenshi!�
Tenshi groaned, as she forced her eyes open. �What is it, Kiddo?� The scared look on Puroko�s face brought her to full attention. �Puroko, doushita?!�
�Amber-san�s brother�s at the door,� she told her in a frightened whisper. �I attacked him, but he might still be there. Make him go away, Tenshi, onegai!�
�Jasper-san?� Puroko nodded, taking Tenshi�s hand and pulling her urgently towards the front door. But Tenshi picked her up and carried her back to the couch she�d been resting on. �It�s okay, Jasper-san�s nice now. I�ll go talk to him, okay? Stay in the house and be good until Michiru-mama comes home.�
Puroko agreed, and Tenshi ran to the doorway, hoping to catch the undoubtedly dejected Jasper before he left.

�Jasper-san! Ne, Jasper-san!�
Jasper halted his retreat from the Tenoh-Kaiou property and looked back at Tenshi who was jogging to catch up to him. �Tenshi-san,� he said by way of greeting, surprised that she had been willing to meet with him.
�Hey, sorry about Puroko, she just wasn�t expecting to see you. Ano�, did you want to see me?�
�Yeah.� That was all he said for a minute. He had worked up what he was going to say to her ever since leaving Neko and heading towards Tenshi�s house, but words seemed to be failing him at the moment. He tried to work up the courage to say anything.
Finally, he thought he could manage to say more when Tenshi interrupted him. �Ne, I�m sorry about yesterday,� she apologized. �I had no right to yell at you. You were just comforting Koneko. I shouldn�t have taken my frustration out on you.�
�No, it�s okay. You were right, Neko-chan is your fianc�e. I should have taken more care in how I acted around her.�
Tenshi shook her head. �Still I shouldn�t have blown up at you. I mean, I know you�d never try anything with her.� She sent him an embarrassed grin.
Jasper couldn�t meet her eyes. He tried desperately to keep his voice in control as he said, �I don�t want you as my enemy Tenshi-san. You are my prince, and I really like and respect you�,� Tenshi was giving him a questioning look, and Jasper bowed his head before continuing more quietly, ��but are you sure you�re the right person for her?�
His question seemed to make Tenshi a bit flustered. �O- Of course! She�s Koneko. We love each other! She�s just a little confused right now. Jasper-san?�
He knew she wanted him to explain what he was really asking. �We went out today� on something like a date. I thought you should know.�
�You went out on a date? With my Koneko?� Tenshi�s eyes looked a little wild as she tried to figure out what he was telling her.
�No. I mean� it started out innocently, but as it progressed, it just seemed to be more and more like a date, and she kinda saw it that way too.�
If possible, his voice had gotten even smaller. Probably because of the way Tenshi was looking at him now. As if he had betrayed her. As if she was never going to trust him again. �Then I was wrong about you�,� she said softly.
�Tenshi-san, please!� he cried desperately, praying she�d stop and listen to an explanation.
But she didn�t seem to want to give him the chance. �This whole time� I was blaming myself for being so jealous, for yelling at you, but you really were trying to steal her from me! Have you been trying to sabotage us from the beginning?�
�No, I wasn�t planning this! It just happened�. Please, I�m sorry, okay?�
Her eyes flashed at him. �You had no right! Koneko�s my fianc�e!�
In the heat of Tenshi�s anger, Jasper didn�t even take a moment to think about his response. �It didn�t stop you from making out with Amethyst!�
Tenshi stopped before saying whatever she was going to say. Jasper was instantly sorry he brought it up. �That was totally different,� she said in a low growl. �I was hurt. And she seduced me. Maybe you didn�t notice but your girlfriend wasn�t the most faithful person around, Jasper-san. Don�t even try and tell me that Koneko came on to you. This isn�t even close to the same thing!�
