Part 4, page 4
Jian-wa had forgotten that he, like Tenshi, could heal and was uncertain how willing he was to let Jasper do so.  But he thought about the time he had seen Jasper heal - it had been to help Tenshi save Neko, who was on the verge of death.  Plus, since Jian-wa had been telling Mi-chan not to worry because Neko had felt so strongly that Jasper was a good person, he felt he had to trust that too.
"Go ahead," he finally said.  He closed his eyes and let Jasper place his hand at his temple.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Mi-chan entered the room and felt like she was in the middle of a giant conspiracy!
Neko had returned finally, but she had brought
him with her.  And to make matters worse, he was doing something to her beloved Jian-wa!
"What are you doing in my house?!" she screamed at him.  In one motion, she zipped across the room, grabbed him, and threw him against the wall, moments from punching his lights out.
"Mi-chan!"  Neko and Jian-wa both grabbed her and pulled her away from him.
"Stay the hell away from my sister!"  She continued to struggle against her captors, attempting to get at him and strangle him or something.
"Jasper-kun, go!" Neko ordered him.  He did as she commanded, leaving before Mi-chan could do any serious harm.
As soon as he was out of the house, he wasn't worth Mi-chan's time.  She stopped struggling and turned to Neko, ready to chew her out for leaving with him in the first place, for bringing him back to their house, and most of all for leaving without letting her know where she was.
"Neko!  How dare you-!"  But she didn't get another word out.  Neko had begun to cry, and Mi-chan didn't think she could yell at her twin when she was already crying.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Neko didn't mean to start crying.  She had been planning to stay strong, to tell Mi-chan that she was going to stay friends with Jasper no matter what Mi-chan said.  But she had begun to cry even before Mi-chan had started yelling at her.  Mi-chan's anger hit her with such a force that she didn't think she could stand it.  "I'm sorry I left, Mi-chan," Neko sobbed.  "I didn't mean to make you angry, I just needed to spend time with Jasper-kun.  You have every right to yell at me, but-  but please don't hate me!"
Mi-chan's anger seemed to melt into concern.  "Oh, Neko-chan," she sighed, "just please don't leave without telling me where you're going.  You have no idea how scary it is not to have contact with you, not to know where you are."
"You were scared for me?" Neko sniffed.  Mi-chan nodded, and Neko couldn't help it - she grabbed her twin and began to cry anew.
Mi-chan hugged her back.  Neko knew that she wanted to say more about Jasper, but neither twin wanted to break their truce at the moment.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Mi-chan returned the now-worthless ice pack to the kitchen while Neko and Jian-wa sat down to talk.  She came back to find them looking over her textbooks.  Jian-wa was talking about their Japanese history homework, while Neko scanned the pre-calculus book with interest.
She rolled her eyes.  Even with no memory of school, it seemed Neko was going to be Neko once she got around to doing the work.  Mi-chan sat down next to Jian-wa, considering whether she really wanted to try and get caught up.
