| Amethyst giggled. "Go ahead and fight it, Sailor Uranus. I want to see you try to get out." Then she moved up to Tenshi and whispered in her ear, "Stay here and be good for Jaspy, sweetie." "Ame?" "I'm gonna go get Neko. Take care of Electra for me, please!" she sang. She started towards the locker room, but as soon as she moved away from Tenshi, Electra struck her with "St. Elmo's Fire." She was not going to let her just prance off to attack Neko. She ran at her, prepared to body tackle her or something, but she didn't get very far before suddenly a black wall appeared in front of her that she just barely managed to keep from running into. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Jasper, still inside the barrier himself, stared angrily at her. How dare she hit Amethyst from behind! Any reservations he had about using Tenshi flew out the door as he decided that the Sailor Senshi really should get what they deserved. "Tenshi, kill her!" he yelled. Tenshi charged at Electra with Jasper's sword raised. "Iya!" Electra shouted as she parried it with the epe. She was suddenly very glad she had just come from fencing. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Upon receiving her sister's emotions, Neko sprinted out of the locker room. But she hadn't gotten three steps from the door before she ran into Amethyst. "Neko, I was just looking for you!" she said playfully. Neko didn't hesitate. "Eryx Planet Power: Make up!" Amethyst sulked. "Now that's no fun." "Quite frankly, I don't care for your type of fun. Celestial Force!" Expecting an attack, Amethyst moved out of its path easily. "Too bad, but I don't want you to be preoccupied with me, silly. Earthly Might!" As Eryx tried to get her bearing after the attack, Amethyst used her vine trap on her. Amethyst clapped her hands together joyfully. "Now this is much better." Eryx couldn't fight from this position, but she'd be able to see Electra and Tenshi perfectly. Amethyst turned to see how the other fight was progressing and was pleased to see that Jasper had set up events just as she had wanted them to go. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Watching from the roof of the gym, where he occasionally waited for Mi-chan to finish on Tuesdays and Thursdays now that she had shown him the spot, Jian-wa had seen the fight start, but hadn't been able to get down the stairs in time to reach Electra before the barrier went up. He crashed into it before realizing that he couldn't get to his girlfriend. He hadn't seen Eryx and Amethyst, but he did know that a now-untransformed Haruka was on the other side of Electra and Tenshi's fight, still attempting to struggle, no matter how ineffectually, against her captivity. He followed the perimeter of the walled-off area until he reached her, thankful that she, at least, was on the outside of the forcefield. "Tenoh-sama, daijoubu ka?" he asked as he worked on freeing her from the vine that had entangled her. Haruka looked like she was about to pass out. "Chang-chan?" she asked wearily. "Maybe maybe you're a little trustworthy afterall." "Hai," he said, ignoring the fact that she evidently had been questioning his loyalty to the Moon Kingdom. He continued to break the vines, barely going faster than they could regrow and rebind her. "I need to help Tenshi," she said as the vine continued to drain her. "You need to get out of there and rest," Jian-wa corrected her as he began to work faster. *I really could use one of those shirukens right about now* he thought, but he had given those up shortly after he had renounced Tanzen. He focused his mind on the single task of breaking the vines and managed to pick up some Bruce Lee-like speed. Finally he had freed her. Haruka fell forward into his arms. "I'm going to help Tenshi," she repeated stubbornly. She pushed herself up, using him as a crutch for a second. But as she let go, she almost collapsed. "Tenoh-sama!" He grabbed her and lay her down. "Tenshi-" "Iie," he put his fingers up to a pressure point on her neck and put her to sleep. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Electra managed to break from Tenshi's attacks long enough to catch her breath. She wasn't going to get anywhere stuck within the enclosure Jasper had created for them. She hit the wall once with a Dazzling Bolts, but it didn't show any signs of stress from the one attack. As Tenshi lunged at her again, Electra parried the attack and backed up from her. She wondered how many more attacks Jasper would be able to take. All the previous times one of their party had been affected by evil influences, a yoma's kiss had been what had turned them, fueling and enhancing their negative emotions and adding its power to their own (ok, so that was just Neko and Chibi, but still). But this time there was no yoma. Just Jasper and Amethyst. And Tenshi's eyes were much different from how Neko's and Chibi's had been. Theirs had been cold and calculating - totally aware of what was going on at the time (though Chibi claimed that he could not remember what he did). Tenshi's, on the other hand, were completely vacant. This was a different magic, but Electra would bet money that killing the bad guys would free Tenshi. "St. Elmo's Fire!" she yelled, sending an attack off at Jasper. The silver ball of electricity connected, but Jasper remained undefeated. And to make matters worse, she had used up her energy. She untransformed, but stayed in control of her senses enough to evade Tenshi's sword. Mi-chan backed up, putting some distance between the two of them again. There was only one thing left to do. She broke off the tip of her epe so that it could actually do some damage. Then she charged at Jasper. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* |
