| See you. Mi-chan thrust her hands under the faucet at the sink she had just turned on, relishing the feeling of washing away every molecule of Jasper that might have rubbed off onto her. When she felt sufficiently clean, she exited the bathroom and was happily met by her boyfriend.
Jian-kun! She threw her arms around his neck and kissed him as if she hadnt seen him for a month. He returned her affections, before speaking. Hey. I saw you dancing with Heisui-san. Thought youd like some sympathy, ne? Oh, god, youre the best boyfriend ever! she exclaimed, taking his arm. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Hoshi stared at the refreshment table, trying to work up the courage to turn around and return to her seat. She thought she had covered it well, but when Mi-chan had come into the bathroom, Hoshi had already been in there for a long time. Now she had been standing here at this table, hoping she looked like she was making a decision on what to get. But the truth was that she was having more difficulty with this wedding than she would ever admit to either twin. Neko had always been one of her best friends, but when Hoshi had discovered that she was a lesbian she almost had thrown that all away. She had grown up believing that same-sex relationships were wrong, just as her parents had taught her. But Neko had fallen in love with Tenshi, and Hoshi had known from day one that Tenshi was female (unlike all of Nekos siblings). Somehow Neko had suspected that Hoshi was a little homophobic, so she had tried to hide their relationship, but eventually it had come out. And of course, by now, Neko would have had to tell her. Hoshi knew that Neko would never have gotten married without letting her know. Eventually, Hoshi had been able to forgive Neko and talk to her just like they used to, and naturally, there was no way that Hoshi would miss Nekos wedding, no matter who it was to, but now here she was feeling trapped by the circumstances, and it was eating her up inside that Nekos wedding was making her feel this way. *It wouldnt be so bad if it werent for the guests. But when you cant tell who are the girls and who are the boys, and sometimes you dont want to.* She sighed. She couldnt even admire the guys at the wedding, because half the bishonen were probably women the way Haruka and Tenshi were. And what was the fun of being alone at a social event if you couldnt bishonen watch? *If only Kidou-kun hadnt broken up with me last month.* Yet another sigh. It was bad enough being immersed in a sea of homosexuality, but to be alone in it. Excuse me? Ichijouji Hoshi? Her eyes widened at the deep voice asking for her attention, and she slowly turned around. Hoshi couldnt help but inhale sharply at the incredible hunk that stood before her. The guy had to be over six feet tall, had spiky blue hair, intense blue eyes, and even under the tuxedo, Hoshi could tell his muscular build. This guy was undeniably male and what a male he was! Th- Thats me, she answered, not recovering quite as quickly as she would have liked. And you are? He bowed. I am Jasper. Heisui Jasper?! The same Jasper that Neko adored and Mi-chan hated?! How could Mi-chan hate this guy? He was gorgeous! He nodded, then held out a hand. I was wondering if you would do me the honor of a dance? I would love to, she gushed, taking his hand. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Dont you even think about gloating over this, Mi-chan growled at her sister as she picked at her bread. Neko grinned at her and asked innocently, About what? Just because you got Hoshi-chan to dance with that evil, evil guy She was cut off as Neko put a finger over her lips. Its my wedding. No arguing with me. Jasper-kun is a good person, and he and Hoshi-chan are cute together. Theyd make an adorable couple, and if it makes them both happy, Id be absolutely over the moon for them! Mi-chan grumbled under her breath, keeping her personal feelings about the idea of Hoshi and Jasper as a couple to herself. She could easily see the sparkle in Hoshis eyes as she spoke to Jasper and danced with him, and that did make her a little happy for her friend, but in the next instant hed twirl them around, and shed be able to see how happy Jasper was too. He didnt deserve that kind of happiness. She wouldnt accept it! And she wouldnt accept him dating her best friend either! She opened her mouth to protest after all, but realized that her parents had come over to their side of the table, and quickly closed it again. Congratulations, honey, Ami said hugging Neko from behind. Hai, congratulations, Ryo agreed, grinning at his eldest daughter and daughter-in-law. Suddenly, something occurred to Mi-chan. Ne, dad? How come you didnt know what was going to happen, you know, that Nekod be missing or that everything was going to be alright in the end. He had looked so shocked when he realized that it was Mi-chan at the altar, yet entirely distressed at the same time. She would have thought that he would have seen that there was going to be trouble at the wedding beforehand or at least seen that Neko looked all disheveled in his vision. But no, he had seemed just as worried as Mi-chan had been when he found out that Neko was MIA. *Otou-san almost ruined the whole plan* she revealed to Neko. *Not that Jian-kun didnt anyway.* |
