A decision had to be made. Jasper fingered the invitation in his hand, his mind far from the pretty cobalt blue roses that adorned the card. The tall blue-haired man was focused only on one thing � a name. Especially, here on the card, in conjunction with another name.
Mizuno Neko.
He closed his eyes, attempting to block out the rest of the card. To block out the other name, the purpose.
Jasper sighed and put the invitation back on the shelf it had been sitting on for the past week. He didn�t need it. The day, time, and place were permanently ingrained in his mind. It wasn�t really a decision anyway. He had always known what he was going to do.
Next to the card was displayed a necklace with a golden stone. He picked it up and examined how it glowed slightly in the palm of his hand. Then he pocketed the charm, his heart pounding as he realized that he was actually going to do what he�d been considering for over a year.
Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, he grabbed his bags to leave for the transporter station.

Neko lay against Tenshi�s chest, listening to her fianc�e�s beating heart.
�Tenshi,� she whispered.
�Mm-hmm,� Tenshi moaned, indicating she was awake, if only just barely.
�We�re going to be married today,� Neko continued.
�Hai, Koneko, we will be,� Tenshi agreed, showing a little more coherency now that Neko had brought up such a fascinating topic.
Neko sighed happily and snuggled into Tenshi. �Can we spend the rest of our lives like this?�
�Later,� Tenshi answered with a kiss to Neko�s forehead. �First we have to get through the wedding.�
Neko slid under the covers to hide as she squealed with excitement.

The plan was set. He would finally get what he had wanted for so long. Just a little longer�.

�Ow!�
Neko batted Mizuno Michiru�s hand away as her twin sister stuck another bobby pin through Neko�s thick emerald hair and into her scalp. �Do you know how much that hurts?�
�Yes, I am quite aware,� Mi-chan retorted. Not only had she gone through similar torture earlier this morning, but she also could feel her scalp sting every time a bobby pin dug into Neko�s head. That was the biggest fallback to having a psychic link with your twin � they each had to put up with the other�s pain.
�Well, let�s take a break,� Neko suggested, leaning back in her chair and sighing.
�Relax. The wedding will be perfect. Your hair will be perfect. Everything will be perfect.�
Neko smiled at her and took her advice. Mi-chan could feel her gently slip away from her consciousness. It had been several months since Neko had developed a psychic link with Tenshi too, but Mi-chan had yet to completely get used to losing the connection to her sister altogether. But when Neko returned to her, Mi-chan could tell she was much more relaxed. �Better?� she asked.
�Mm hmm,� Neko answered with a silly grin on her face. �Tenshi�s so happy. She�s convinced that everything�s going to go perfectly today.�
Mi-chan picked up a new bobby pin and tried really hard not to jab Neko with it. She hoped she wasn�t scowling too harshly. Wasn�t that exactly what she had just told Neko?! But no, Neko needed to hear it from Tenshi. Once upon a time, Neko wouldn�t have dreamed of going to anyone but Mi-chan to be comforted. Neko might have been the older sister, but it was Mi-chan who took care of her siblings when they were hurt or upset. Neko used to turn to Mi-chan for everything.
Then Tenshi came along. The charming older girl (who Mi-chan had been convinced was a boy for a while) had stolen Neko�s heart away almost immediately. Suddenly, Neko would turn to either girl for comfort and protection. Mi-chan knew Neko had every right to. Tenshi was her lover and her Knight, but it still hurt to feel like she was losing Neko bit by bit to Tenshi.
And today they would be married.
