The Faith Soundtrack
This is my favorite story, & not surprisingly my favorite soundtrack of all of them.  The story is Tenshi's so I tried to focus on her as much as possible in the soundtrack.
Letters to Cleo - I Want You to Want Me
Opening theme - This is meant to reflect Tenshi's optimism as she prepares to woo back Neko, not realizing that Neko didn't break up with her for any reason that Tenshi can actually fix.  It's nice & upbeat, yet almost desperate sounding at the same time.
Gloria Estefan - Can't Forget You
Tenshi's Heart is Truly Broken - This song goes with the scene where Tenshi tries & tries to get Neko back, & Neko makes it absolutely clear that they are truly broken up.  She finally convinces Tenshi that she no longer loves her.
Dar Williams - Family
Mi-chan Comforts Neko - Just a sweet song to connect to Neko's need to finally release & tell someone.  And whose shoulder would be better to cry on than Mi-chan's, naturally.
Savage Garden - Gunning Down Romance
Shattered Dreams, Room, Trust - This song is absolutely perfect for Tenshi's feelings as she destroys her room after Neko breaks up with her.  It's the beginning of her downfall.
Vertical Horizon - Shackled (perfect list) or N'Sync - Tearin' Up my Heart (cd list)
Broken Angel - I ran out room on the CD & sacrificed "Shackled," which I think nicely illustrates her anguish as she sees & reacts to Neko the day after she's accepted that they are broken up.  "Tearin' Up my Heart" was the original choice for this spot because it shows the confusion both Neko & Tenshi feel wanting to be near each other & yet not wanting to deal with the pain of being near each other.  However, it is more upbeat than Shackled, & takes the focus off Tenshi.
Jewel - Have a Little Faith
Ultimate Redemption - Surprise!  This song is actually for Jian-wa, not Tenshi (whose element is faith).  For this part, Jian-wa thinks that Mi-chan is questioning his loyalty, but although he is upset at her, he actually ends up proving his loyalty by rejecting Jasper's offer of power.  He finally wins Neko's respect here as well.
Jessica Riddle - Even Angels Fall
Tenshi's Lost Faith - Another song that works perfectly for the story.  Besides Tenshi's name (angel), it also responds to how love essentially has treated her, & how she has fallen from her angelic position.  This is driven home to her as she loses her ability to transform due to her loss of faith.
Megumi Ogata - Kaze no Bohyou (Gravestone of the Wind)
Tenshi Gives in to Her Pain & Amethyst - The haunting melody & poetic lyrics are beautiful when connected to the part when Amethyst seduces Tenshi into thinking that she can free her from her pain & brainwashes her.
Chad Kroeger - Hero
The Nightmare is Broken - Along with references to reaching for Heaven, this song is great for this scene where nobody knows if they can manage to save the ones they love, but try anyway.  Neko throws herself into Tenshi's sword to save her from the same fate as in her nightmare.  Though she succeeds in saving Tenshi's body & soul, Tenshi realizes that even her love can't seem to save Neko now.
Evanescence - My Last Breath
Neko Brings Tenshi Back & Says Goodbye - Even as Neko saves Tenshi from death, there is still the matter of Tenshi's brainwashing to worry about.  Like the beginning of the song, Neko isn't sure that Tenshi can hear her, but she continues to try and express her love anyway.  Then with Tenshi's tears, she knows Tenshi is okay, & begins to slip away herself.
Dar Williams - After All
Neko & Jasper Choose Life - Although it is not apparent until the next story, Neko actually has to choose to live, even with all of Jasper & Tenshi's efforts.  But she does come back to life, & then offers it up to Jasper when he tries to get her to kill him.  He too has to choose to live now that Amethyst is dead, but Neko unfreezes his heart with her offering of love.
Brandy - Everything I Do
Love, Forgiveness, & a Proposal - Lovey-dovey song expressing all the things Neko did out of love for Tenshi (you know - fight, lie, die, etc.)  I chose the Brandy version because it wasn't as melodramatic as Bryan Adam's & it made it seem more like a teenage romance, which it is.
98 Degrees - This Gift
Faith/Eclipse Closing Theme - This song closes the story (where Tenshi presents Neko with their engagement for a gift) & the entire trilogy (with Hoshi's gift of a new blue heart necklace (the trilogy started with her gift of the original necklace a year before)).  Basically, it is a happy Christmas pop song for Neko & Tenshi.
