Shayera Janota has helped with the characterization of all of the Mizuno children and Kou and is responsible for the basic background behind the storyline. This is Crystal Tokyo Romance told as if Pioneer Entertainment had dubbed it for Cartoon Network. So if you have a problem with GLBT issues, well, don't worry, because this is dubbed. If you have a problem with the way S and SS were dubbed, don't read the story (unless you've read the other and want to laugh at this one). You won't be happy, I won't be happy, and who needs all that. Since it's dubbed, some characterization (phrases people might say or think, things they might do (but not actual actions, unless something's cut out, which it might be)) might be changed. I'll try not to make it dumb, but I'll also try to stay true to the way SMS and SMSS were dubbed on Cartoon Network, especially the former.
As far as I can tell, the dubbed scripts of all the S episodes were written by Lisa Lumby Richards and Nathalie Gregoire. Since I am using their style and the names from their version, I thought I should credit them too.
Just so we have it straight (no pun intended, really!):
Oh, I guess that for the story to make sense I have to make up some Cartoon Network-like story about Haruka and Michiru and their family. Oops, I just realized that I need to change their names too. Grrr. So here goes:
Puroko's last name is Tenoh, so obviously she is Amara's daughter. Amara is married to some guy, who's probably a Knight, who works on another planet so we never meet him. At this point in the story, she has some unknown amount of children with this guy, but we do know Puroko who is the youngest and the only one the Mizuno children have ever met (they saved her from aggressive kids at the school when the water made people hostile towards them on their second day in Crystal Tokyo).
Michelle has never found a guy to settle down with. Maybe she's just too flirtatious. She lives with Amara, who is of course her cousin, and her family in Tokyo.
Before this story starts, Amara had taken her family and Michelle to Hawaii after the water incident.
Man, I need to go change everyone's names now. Neko is going to be Kat, short for Katherine. I was going to make Mi-chan into Michi, because I didn't like Shelly (short for Michelle), but Heather suggested that they call her Mitch, which is just adorable, so I'm keeping it. I'm keeping Jian-wa (because he's a foreign exchange student, but he'll be Jian for short). Kimahou will be Kim. Chibi will be Gabriel - Gaby for short. I'll replace "Chibi" with "Shorty" for Mi-chan only or something because it's something that the dubbers would do. Since they have a cute relationship that I don't stress enough, he will call her Mitchi. Kou will be Joe. Puroko will be Puroko in the same way Hotaru got to keep her name. <Rolls eyes> Tenshi will be Angel.
Just remember, I said it would be similar to S and SS, not the first two seasons. There will be no Anderson children in this story.
