| Everyone was fawning over Kimahou and didn't notice when Mi-chan found Ryo's roses. "Hurray! Now we can give out roses!" Neko caught up to her. She didn't want to be left out. "Can I have some?" Mi-chan took about half of the flowers out of the tissue paper and shared with her sister. "Arigatou." They both ran off to find people to give them to. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* This was bad. The twins weren't anywhere in the waiting room. That meant they were loose in the hospital. "Why me?" "Because you're a kind and patient person." Haruka looked at Michiru in surprise. Michiru giggled. "Oh wait, I was thinking of Setsuna-sama." Haruka frowned at her. "Give me a break here. This is serious." "I know. Save the teasing for bed, ne? Well, maybe it's because you're the only one fast enough to catch them when they run off. Demo, you should probably go now." "Want to help?" "Iya. Someone's got to look after Tenshi." Michiru's eyes twinkled. "Besides, I want to see how long it takes for you to catch them." ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Neko wandered into the day care center with her half of the roses. She didn't like talking to strange adults, but kids were different. Or at least most of them were less scary than adults. As soon as she had heard the kids laughing, she ducked into that room. "I'm gonna be a big sister," she announced to the first kid she came to. The other girl looked surprised as Neko held out one of the flowers. "Arigatou." The girl took the rose and ran over to a group of kids. Neko shifted nervously from foot to foot while the girl whispered to them and pointed to Neko. The group started toward her and she considered running away. But before she could, a boy twice her age ran up to her. "Hi, I'm Yuki. Can I have one?" Neko's eyes lit up. "Hai! I'm gonna be a big sister." "I'm gonna be a big brother." "Congratulations!" She started handing out flowers to some of the kids. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "I'm gonna be big sister! Congwatuwations!" Haruka ran into Nurse Station A, following the sound of the twins' new motto. "Hawuka-sama!" "Hey, kiddo." Haruka tried not to look angry. "Been giving the nurses as hard a time as you've been giving me?" "Gave 'em fwowers, and they gave me a cookie. They'wa weal nice." Haruka smiled at the nurses, who were watching them as they also went along with their business. "Arigatou. I know she can be a handful." "Iie. She was a perfect angel," one of them said. *Great, she's a perfect angel for everyone but me.* She took Mi-chan (at least she assumed it was Mi-chan, judging by her confidence in speaking to Haruka) by the sticky chocolate covered hand and sighed. "Come on, let's go find your sis." "TENOH HARUKA. PLEASE COME TO DAY CARE CENTER B." Haruka picked up Mi-chan and followed the signs to the day care center. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Miss Tamago didn't remember the green-haired child with the flowers coming in with her parents. "Who are you?" she asked with a smile. "Neko," Neko answered quietly. "Well, are you lost Neko-chan?" Neko thought that it would be best if she explain why she was there - so she didn't get in trouble. She started explaining quickly and quietly. "Nuh uh. King said give fwowers to people. 'Cuz Mama's having a baby. So me and Mi-chan got fwowers and - and we finding people to give 'em to. And Hawuka no want us to weave, but we had to 'cuz King said so. And we gotta obey him." She nodded seriously. Miss Tamago followed the 2 year old's babbling as best she could and wondered how much she had made up. "So you're delivering roses for King Urawa, huh?" But Neko shook her head. "Iie. Papa is with Mama in the dewiverwy woom. King Endy- Endy-" Neko couldn't remember how to pronounce his name, but she knew he had another one from her parent's stories about the Sailor Scouts. "Mamowu-sama the king that told me and Mi-chan give away fwowers." "King Endymion?" Miss Tamago wasn't expecting that response. Neko nodded in agreement. "En-dy-mi-on." She said it slowly to remind herself of the pronunciation. Miss Tamago was certain that there'd be much more commotion if King Endymion was in the hospital. She decided to try a different approach. "You were being watched by someone named Hawuka?" Neko giggled. "Not Hawuka. Hawuka." "Haluka?" Neko thought about this for a second. While that sounded close, it wasn't quite there. "Har-wu-ka." "Haruka?" "Hai!" Neko clapped her hands together. This was fun. |
