Part 5 -  "Mitsuketa no sagashitsuzuketa ano rakuen"

They walked into the dance arm and arm.  "Ready to meet my siblings?" she asked.  She knew that Mi-chan wasn't there yet, but Kimako and Chibi should have been there.  She knew they'd find her, eventually.
For a dance, the auditorium was pretty well lit.  They were playing a slow song at the moment and many couples were already out on the dance floor.  There was a reception area that had drinks and snacks against the wall opposite the entrance.
"Um, maybe we should check out the reception area?"
"Tenshi-kun, you're not getting shy on me are you," she teased.  She turned and then sighed.  "Besides, they've already spotted us."

Kimako saw Neko-chan first.  She abandoned her friends to find Chibi and point her out to him.  "Where'd she find that bishonen?!  Can I get one too?"
Chibi looked at where she was pointing and did a double take.  "Um, I've never seen him before.  At least I don't think I have."
Kimako looked at him.  "Maybe we should get a closer look," she suggested seriously, and proceeded to drag him over to where Neko-chan and her date were standing.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Chibi couldn't believe that Kimako had dragged him over to see Neko-chan and her new boyfriend.  First of all, he had been about to get a dance with Miko, a girl from his class, when Kimako had interrupted.    Secondly, he would have preferred to check out the couple from afar before announcing his presence to them.  Honestly, didn't Kimako understand the concept of subtlety?
Then, of all things, Kimako got there and suddenly got shy.  Chibi rolled his eyes.
"Neko-chan, where have you been?" he asked.
"Oh, dinner ran a little later than we expected."  He looked at her expectantly.  He noticed her date did too.
    "Neko-chan?"
"Gomen, where are my manners?  Tenshi-kun, this is my brother Chi-, I mean Gebriel, and my younger sister Kimahou.
Minna, this is my date, Tenshi."
"Nice to meet you, Gebriel-kun."  After shaking hands, he moved on to Kimako.
"A pleasure, my lady." He took her hand and kissed it.  She giggled.
Chibi looked at Neko-chan.  She was beaming.  *Oh, great, he's charming too.  Even calling me Gebriel-kun, instead of Chibi.  Well, he might fool them, but he can't fool me.  He has to have some secret or something.  I'll figure it out.*
~*~*~*~*~*~
At that moment, Mi-chan and Jian-kun arrived.  Mi-chan quickly surveyed the scene and started searching for her twin.
"Come on, Jian-kun, don't you want to see Neko-chan and meet her date?"
    "Neko-chan has a date?"
    "Hai.  Look, she's over there!"
Mi-chan started dragging him with her, but stopped suddenly, causing him to almost run her over.
*Is that guy her date?!  He really is gorgeous!* There was no mistaking that the guy standing next to Neko-chan was the same guy she had seen her sister leave with.  She was certain of it.
Neko-chan apparently had sensed her presence because she turned around and motioned for them to come over.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Neko could almost hear Mi-chan's reaction to Tenshi, and she hadn't even turned around yet.  She motioned for them to come over, taking special note of the looks on their faces.  Mi-chan practically had hearts popping out of her eyes.  Jian-kun's were filled with fire.  She'd have to watch what she said.
She caught Tenshi's attention (she was entertaining Kimako) and motioned in their general direction with her eyes.  Tenshi nodded and turned around as they came up.
"Mi-chan, Jian-kun, this is Tenshi.  Tenshi-kun, this is my sister Michiru, and this is her date and my best friend, Jian-wa."
Tenshi took her hand and kissed it, as she had done for Kimako.  "Neko-chan neglected to tell me she had such a beautiful sister," she said charismatically.
"He really likes you, ne?" Kimako suggested.  She looked inquiringly at Neko, "I think you put on too much blush, sis."
"This isn't the kind you can take off," Neko said quietly, completely aware of Tenshi's hidden compliment.
"Oh."  Suddenly the song changed, and a fast one came on.  "Oh, I love this song!  Gomen, but I gotta go dance now.  Ja.  By the way," she looked at Tenshi, "good choice."  She ran off to join her friends.
Neko realized that Tenshi was being questioned by Jian-kun.  If it wasn't so frustrating for both her and Mi-chan, it'd be kawaii.
    "So where'd you two meet?"
"Oh, we're on the pole vault team together."
"Honto?  She's never mentioned you before.  You must not be very good, then."
"Iie, Tenshi-kun's a great pole vaulter.  Better than me."
Jian-kun snorted. "Well, not to be sexist or anything, but aren't guys usually better at pole vaulting than their female counterparts?"
Tenshi coughed.  They both looked at each other silently asking the other one what to do now.  They weren't prepared to lie, but they were fine with everyone thinking that Tenshi was a guy for awhile too.

Jian-kun, meanwhile, took their discomfort as a victory.
~*~*~*~*~*~
And Mi-chan had the presence of mind to break the whole discussion up by asking Jian-kun to get her a drink.  He did as she asked.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Chibi had decided that maybe it would be best to make sure that his sister wasn't dating someone who was evil.  After all, it would really suck to have his oldest sister be seduced by evil.  He sensed evil in the immediate
