exclaiming, "That's my ride!  Ja!"  She blew a kiss to them as she ran out the door.

Neko opened the front door.  She was ready for anything.
     Except for the
bishonen standing in front of her.
     "T- Tenshi-kun!"
Tenshi was staring at her.  She thought she saw her mouth something, but she really couldn't make it out.
Tenshi looked great in the black tuxedo she had borrowed from Haruka.  In Neko's opinion, she would look great if she was wearing rags, but the tux looked especially fine.  Neko's eyes fell on the boutonnire.  *Was I suppose to get that for her?  Or a corsage for me?* She hadn't thought of that.  *Kami, I need to get out more!*
Her question was answered a second later when Tenshi held up a small collection of flowers.  "For me?"  She had forgotten that Puroko had told her that Tenshi was getting flowers.  And she didn't actually process "corsage" from that.
"Ano, I, uh, figured you didn't- uh, you wouldn't, you know, have gotten a corsage.  But such a bisho-, uh, bishojo dress needs to have flowers to compliment it."  It was so kawaii how nervous she was!
But as cute as it was, Neko didn't feel it was fair to tease Tenshi about it.  She had considered it - after all, it was fun to be in control of the relationship.  But just watching Tenshi worry about such a little thing as giving her a corsage, she decided that she couldn't do it.  She wanted to set the record straight.  At this moment, she was very glad that Puroko had called; at least she knew Tenshi's intentions now.
"Such beautiful flowers from such a beautiful person.  Arigatou, Tenshi-kun.  Could you pin them on me?"
     Tenshi blushed.  "I, uh"
"I trust you," she said sensing that Tenshi was worried she'd accidentally stick the pin into Neko instead.  Actually Neko was a little worried about it too, but she didn't let on and before she knew it, Tenshi had done it flawlessly.
     "Perfect," she said.
"Hai," Tenshi agreed, but she wasn't just looking at the corsage.  Neko blushed.  In her embarrassment, she attempted to change the subject.
"So shall we continue with the date?"
~*~*~*~*~*~
    "T- Tenshi-kun!"
Tenshi barely heard her name.  She was mesmerized by the girl before her.  "
Kirei! " she said under her breath.  Neko-chan's dress looked like it was made just for her.  It was deep red with spaghetti straps keeping it on her shoulders and a loose skirt, which would make it easier to dance.  Her hair was mostly down, but the hair on each side had been braided and woven together as if she wore a crown of braids.  She had replaced her usual heart earrings with some pearls, but she had kept her crystal blue heart necklace.  She wore very light make-up, but it complimented her colors well, and as she was naturally beautiful.
Suddenly Tenshi realized that Neko-chan's eyes had wandered to her boutonnire, which reminded her that she had the corsage to give her.  She still had no idea what to say.  She tried to remember what Michiru-mama had suggested as she awkwardly held out the flowers.
"For me?"  At least Neko-chan looked pleasantly surprised.
"Ano, I, uh, figured you didn't- uh, you wouldn't, you know, have gotten a corsage.  But such a bisho-," she had almost just left it at "bishojo (girl)", "uh, bishojo dress needs to have flowers to compliment it."  Whew, she had done it.  Now, what would Neko-chan think?
She looked up at her, but Neko-chan was smiling, her eyes glinting with a hint of humor behind them.
"Such beautiful flowers from such a beautiful person.  Arigatou, Tenshi-kun.  Could you pin them on me?"
Tenshi felt her face go red (She wished it wouldn't do that!), both from the compliment and the idea of actually pinning the corsage on Neko-chan.  What if she stuck Neko-chan instead?  "I, uh."
    "I trust you."
*Okay.* Tenshi took a deep breath and went to pin on the corsage.  The entire time she was totally self-conscious of area in which she was working, but finally it was done and she had managed not to stick Neko-chan with the pin.  She moved back, face still flushed.
    "Perfect," Neko-chan reassured her.
But Tenshi had already moved her eyes back to Neko-chan's face.  Even so, she had to agree, "Hai."
"So shall we continue with the date?"
A million thoughts went through Tenshi's head at the same time.  Her heart seemed to beat a hundred times faster than it had a few seconds ago.  She wondered if she had heard right.  "D- Date?"
Neko-chan suddenly looked a little less certain than she did a second ago.  "Yeah, that thing we're on," she attempted, but then after a moment's pause, "right?"  She was starting to look panicked.
To Tenshi it seemed that a great burden had been lifted off her chest.  She no longer needed to guess what Neko-chan's intentions were.  She didn't need to worry about scaring her off, well, at least not about that.  She relaxed and a giant smile spread across her face.  "Hai, and we shouldn't miss our dinner reservations.  Shall we go?"  She offered her arm to her date(!), and they made their way to the car.

Mi-chan and Jian-kun had arrived at the restaurant.  "Now, Mi-chan," he said smiling, "remember, even if they have straw wrappers on the straws, this is still a fancy restaurant."
"Hey!"  This was the price she had to pay for dating her twin's best friend.
"I'm just saying, blowing them at people, is probably not the best idea tonight.  No matter how beautiful you look, they still might kick us out and then what would we do?" he teased, eyes twinkling.
"Kami, get kicked out of one restaurant and I.  Beautiful?"  Had she been Neko-chan, she would've blushed, but Mi-chan rarely blushed.  She was used to flirting.  Still, she hardly ever was called "beautiful."  "Kawaii" and "bishojo," certainly.  But rarely "kirei."
     "Hai."
"Well, I just had to live up to the standards of my handsome
koibito."
     "Arigatou."  And then, "Am I?"
     "What?"
     "
Kimi no koibito?"
