Apparently, these covers were done with the blessings of Being Co. because some frequent B'z collaborators participated! Takanobu Masuda-san played keyboard on some numbers (he is the regular B'z keyboard guy) and Being Co. regulars Yuiko Tsubokura and Maki Ohguro, who have known B'z for a long time (you can see Koshi worked on a Yuiko album before he was even in B'z), did some backup vocals for W-Nao. So this is an all-female chorus. I'm quite interested in checking these out!
W-Nao covers were not recorded over B'z karaoke tracks, so it appears some fresh recording was done. The guitar work is not Tak's.
A link between W-Nao and Being Co. might be that Naoko Iijima's ex-husband was Maeda Nobuteru of TUBE, who had very strong Being connections (Koshi has worked on his albums in the past).
Today, Naoko Iijima is a successful actress famous for her beauty. Like B'z, she has also totally changed her wardrobe from those early days. She had another guest turn in the B'z song FUSHIDARA 100% (2nd beat to Love Phantom single): she did the ending gasp. I wonder who came up with that idea?
