1995 Path of the Moon Collective (POTMC) is formed as a networking organization for local Pagans.
1996 June - POTMC holds its first annual Pagan Picnic. Gregg Bryant meets T-Hawk Gray there.

July - The first monthly Pagan's Night Out (PNO) is established at Border's Bookstore on High Point Road in Greensboro. It soon moves to The Exchange coffee shop on Tate Street, for more space.

1998 Spring - POTMC holds its first Mayfest. PNO is asked to leave The Exchange, due to attracting too many people. Another meeting location cannot be found, so PNO shuts down.

October 31 - The Aaron Anderson Center opens on High Point Road. At the grand opening, Gregg Bryant is asked by the manager to reestablish PNO there.

1999 January 1999 - PNO resumes at the Aaron Anderson Center.

May 1999 - At PNO's annual Mayfest, Gregg Bryant and Joshua Bailey give a presentation on men's spirituality. Gregg and Joshua begin discussing ideas for a Pagan men's group.

October 1999 - The Aaron Anderson Center is sold to the Wendy's Corporation, and PNO loses its meeting space once more. Gregg Bryant meets Allison Dunmore through Phaedra, and through Allison brings PNO to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greensboro (UUCG).

November 1999 - "Plastic Swords and Pentacles: Chivalry and the Rearing of Pagan Boys" by Sara Reeder is published in the November-December issue of Green Egg magazine. This article becomes part of the inspiration for the founding members of the Order.

2000 Spring - Gregg Bryant and Joshua Bailey hit upon the idea of a fraternal group structured along the lines of a chivalric order, and Joshua coins the name "The Knights of Herne".

Summer - The Order's first organizational meetings are held, and the first Hall of the Order is formed by Gregg, Joshua, T-Hawk and five other men. The official founding date of the Order is held to be August 16, 2000.

September 16 - The Order completes its first service project, taking part in the "Big Sweep" waterway cleanup at Latham Park Creek in Greensboro, sponsored by Greensboro Beautiful. The Order is thanked by name in the November-December issue of Greensboro Beautiful's newsletter, "The Seed".

2001 Spring - Triad CUUPS (Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans) is formed at the UUCG with Allison Dunmore as President.

April 22 - The Order assists the United Deitist Association, a benevolent association of the Southern Cherokee Nation, to hold the "Bikes, Blues and Tattoos" Motorcycle Rally at Riders in the Country, a bar in Randleman, NC. Proceeds from the rally go to fund a Southern Cherokee Powwow.

May 4-6 - The Southern Cherokee Powwow is held at Rockingham Community College in Wentworth, NC. The Order provides security and assistance at the event.

May 19 - The Order adopts its service banner. The Order's website goes online.

June - The Order begins discussions on a Charter to codify its beliefs and practices.

June 30 - The Order is honored by the United Deitist Association at a campout at Hagenstone Park.

August 16 - On its first anniversary, the Order holds a dedication ceremony in which all of the founding members are officially Knighted.

September 20 - The Order's Grand Charter is ratified.

October - The Order participates in the Juvenile Diabetes Walk at Grimesly High School.

October 19 - The Order leads a Samhain ritual for Triad CUUPS.

November 10 - Chris Hiatt writes the Order's original Code of Chivalry.

December 10 - Joshua Bailey is elected President of POTMC.

2002 January 11-13 - The Order provides security and assistance to Triad CUUPS in facilitating the first North Carolina Pagan Leadership Conference.

October - The Order presents a men�s spirituality workshop at Triad CUUPS Cornucopia, a fall festival at the UUCG.
