| 624 Wilson Creek Rd Casey Creek, KY 42728 We are a 501c(3) organization registered with the State of Kentucky and with the IRS. All donations are tax deductible. A Nonprofit Organization dedicated to the rescue of orphan foals, and abused or slaughterbound horses. Orphan Foals and Nurse Mare Farms The Nurse Mare Industry is necessary, due to the fact that they supply wet mares to people that have lost a mare, leaving a foal motherless. They also provide a very much needed service to the Thoroughbred and Standardbred Industry of Kentucky. Most Nurse Mare Farms are very caring of their horses and of the foals that are left behind. However, there are some Nurse Mare Farms that do not care about the orphan foals that they produce in order to supply the demand for Nurse Mares, and we will continue to contact every farm that we learn about, in an effort to help place as many orphan foals as possible. The usual age for the foals that we available for adoption are from 10 days old to 8 weeks . We will help in any way possible to continue to provide an outlet for these excess foals, in hopes that all foals receive a chance to survive. If you are interested in adopting an orphan foal during foaling season , please fill out an Application and send it in. Don't Wait! Time is running out! The foaling season starts February , with April and May being the busiest, and we usually start getting foals in February. Foaling season will start in February or March, 2003. We will also be offering help for Adoptors that are not able to raise a very young foal to weanling age. Details coming soon! If you are not able to adopt one of these precious foals, we are sure that you can find it in your heart to help in other ways. There are lots of different ways to help! |
