Buckeye Mare's Milk Plus foal milk replacer is formulated to be mixed in cold water and fed free choice. Free choice feeding allows the foal to drink as often as if the mare was present. This allows the foal to have an even, natural flow of milk through its digestive system in a 24 hour period. Mare's Milk Plus is slightly acidified (pH 5.3 +/- 0.1) to help maintain the normal pH level in the foal's digestive system. Acidification also aids in preservation of the milk after mixing with water. The combination of free-choice access to milk, tartness and acidification enables the foal to grow and perform normally while being fed Mare's Milk Plus.
