| I am so honored to have been chosen as the adopter of the year! I also apologize for not writing this update sooner. It's so hard to believe how fast the foals have grown and changed. They have adjusted to cold weather quite well, and enjoy getting their lukewarm water from mom:) We have had quite a bit of snow this year and they love to run and play in it. The first time out in it was quite hilarious:) They came out the barn door and huffed and snuffed like "What in the heck is this?!" and then immediately took of running doing laps!!! I held my breath hoping they wouldn't slip! They did great:) Diamond has always been easy going. She is so wonderful to work with and gets more beautiful everyday. It's so hard to remember that awkward little foal. When I see pictures I'm just amazed at the transformation. Zeus TRIES to be a good boy! lol! He is all colt, and likes to try me quite often:) He will be gelded soon, hopefully before spring. He is a majestic horse, even at a young age. He has filled out in all muscle! It has been such a wonderful experience raising them. I look out at them and just think of what their fate could have been if not for Casey Creek. These beautiful animals are in my life thanks to Ken and Jeannie. Deanna Foster |
