Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil
Story:
Klonoa did it again! He dreamed himself into another world, into another adventure. This time, he finds himself thrust into the world of Lunatea, a world where peace is present due to the four Harmony Bells, which have the power to sustain it. The Bells are located in the Four Kingdoms, which are scattered across the land. Unfortunetly, a Fifth Bell is about to appear, and in doing so, Chaos will befall the world. So, with the aid of Lolo and Popka, Klonoa must travel to each of the Four Kingdoms and gain all of the Bells' powers, or Elements, to stop the evil. Silly little kid can't say no when people ask him for help, can he?
Ready for the adventure? The game features the same 2D gameplay in a 3D world, only with a newer style to it. There are also added features, such as boarding stages, a 2-player mode (sorta), as well as a few others. The game itself has a less complex story then the first, but the ending is still pretty cute despite.
The game puts Klonoa in the lead (of course), where he travels from each of the Four Kingdoms gathering the Elements of the Bells. La-lakoosha, Joilant, Volk, and Mira-Mira being the Kingdoms, they each have a certain trait about them that puts them apart. La-lakoosha is the religious kingdom, Joilant is the kingdom of fun, while Volk is of fighting, and Mira-Mira is secluded. Now, it is harder then it sounds to go from each to the other (not really, the game was pretty easy), because Leorina the sky pirate and her sidekick Tat are always there to get in the way.
Note: When you collect all of Momett's dolls, you will recieve a new level, as well as a music station that you can listen to. Beat the level, and you get a new level. Beat that level, and you get more music!
Hint: Stuck on those tough extra levels? Can't get a better time? use Popka mode! Popka can get Klonoa almost anywhere without having to wait for enemies to show up, boost him somewhere to find Dream Stones, and save him when Klonoa ends up falling off a cliff. I was able to collect all 150+ Dream Stones in both levels using Popka, with a time of under 5 minutes each!
Ending:
Klonoa and the rest make it back safely from the Kingdom of Sorrow, only for Leorina and Tat to set off together to rebuild the Kingdom into their world. Funny, wasn't Leorina hurt near the end? Anyway, Popka is off taking a nap, leaving Klonoa and Lolo alone. Lolo gave up her title of priestess due to the fact Klonoa had been the reason she had gotten it, and she wants to earn it for herself.  Klonoa admits that he has faith in her, then turns to leave, ready to go home. Lolo understands that he has to go, because obviously he doesn't live in Lunatea, but she can't hold in her emotions that well. She did for about..... 10 seconds.... at which point she bursted into tears and threw her arms around Klonoa and cried on his shoulder. The cute part is, Klonoa doesn't exactly know what to do with himself at that point, nor does he know what to do with the girl clinging to him. Aww. Well, he finally figures out that he should probably hug her back, does so, and tells her that they would be together always. Lolo feels better, then lets Klonoa get on his way. So he goes home. Aww.
The End!
