this is a good movie that dipicts racism and white supremicy , neo
nazi's in this country .. i loved that it was filmed in black and white
because most people in this country veiw people in black and white ..
verry dark and realistic the acting was superb!!!

very natural depiction: true to the range of skins I've known. Gritty
and grainy in just the right way. I want to say something negative, but
I just can't justify doing it: the slow points seem called for, the
moments when the acting seems insincere, I believe the characters are
being insincere. Worth one or two watches - I'm coming for my second today.

sounded like a porn..but then i read the synopsis, why the name American
Skin?? any way -wow great movie/film!! I loved it, by
the way about 20 of my friends loved it! -

This black and white punk-rock noir film is firmly
rooted to its Washington, D.C setting: Surrounded
by violence and "politics as usual", a wild moment is created
when a group of neo-nazi skinheads and an urban drug-gang
are manipulated by a crime cartel into starting a race war.
Shot on the streets and in underground
nightclubs of D.C., the film's cast convincingly portray the same
troubled youth seen daily, since many cast members worked at various
clubs and performed in local and touring bands. This not only helped
with securing locations, it also made available an incredibly tense and
unique soundtrack.
