Reviews Key
As you flip through the reviews published on this site, you'll probably notice lots of weird star images at the bottom, and one that even says 'WTF'. Here's how you decipher the keys:
These are worth looking out for. I recommend it; you buy and watch. You drool and form fan club. Dedicate half of your webspace to this. You also form secret society to hunt down haters of this particular product. Become a fanatic. Satisfaction guaranteed.
Extremely recommended, especially for fans of this particular genre. Go out and buy it. Form a fan club after you're done. Open up a small shrine on webspace.
Worth watching it by current standards. Have a look-see, form your own opinion, then dedicate a review to it.
Alarmingly mediocre. Worth only as rental. Even better, don't touch it, and you won't have to worry about having mediocrity clouding your brain after watching.
Don't even touch. If you do, you'll have nightmares. Open up a hate shrine if you've watched it.< /p>
WHAT THE FUCK. Then contemplate how you can die. Stab yourself. Throw yourself in front of a moving car. Anything.
How are reviews rated? I'm curious as to why you would want to know something as trivial as that, but there you go.
The reviews are rated as the MBF's whims dictate. Mostly the review will encompass the following elements: graphics/aesthetics, plot cohesion, character development & personality, sound /music, and replay value for anime and video game reviews.
Manga reviews will have the following elements rated: drawing/art style, plot cohesion, characters, smut level(the more smut the better!), and rereading value.
However, for anime which contain lots of porn-like het smut, the highest score the review can acquire is two stars. That's because the MBF dislikes slutty girls trying to get their groove on with HER bishounen.
For video games, a title that doesn't have good graphics deserves the maximum score of three stars. That's because the MBF likes being a shallow bitch. She also likes waddling in beautiful graphcis.
For manga, any title which has (a)characters who look like gorillas, (b)extremely graphic illustrations[eg. there's such a thing as being too explicit], and (c)a silly plot with too many characters that look quite similar, can only score a maximum score of three stars. That's because she (a)doesn't want gorilla-like characters touching her bishounen, (b)doesn't like seeing dangling hairy sausages [ When she stumbles over such illustrations: Jeezfuck! What's with the dicks?], and (c)thinks all the characters looks almost the same, thereby triggering the reaction [What? I thought X was doing it with Y! Why is he a girl now?]
Yeah, she's done spouting crap now.
